Anyway, here’s Scottish new wavers Simple Minds with “Don’t You Forget About Me,” the song from John Hughes 1985 classic. Want some interesting trivia about this song? Simple Minds actually took a pass on recording it at first – as did Billy Idol, Bryan Ferry and Cy Curnin from The Fixx.
They later reconsidered, and the song became their biggest hit.
