Columbia, S.C. has been named one of America’s “drunkest cities,” according to Men’s Health magazine.
The list was based on several factors including death rates from liver disease, alcohol-related car crashes, binge-drinking frequency, the number of DUI arrests and severity of DUI penalties.
South Carolina ranked No. 13 in the nation according to the publication, although there’s no word yet on whether the alleged election night boozecapades of our “transparent” new mayor, Steve Benjamin, had anything to do with that score …
Also no word on when Columbia will replace its “Famously Hot” slogan with something more appropriate, like “Famously sh*t-faced.”
