A blogger who specializes in outing “closeted” gay political figures claims that evidence of U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham (RINO-S.C.)’s homosexual lifestyle is about to be released.
“I wonder if Lindsey Graham knows I have pictures of a man who spent the night at his house,” blogger Michael Rogers recently tweeted.
A later tweet from Rogers indicated that he was meeting with an attorney on December 21 to discuss the release of the alleged pictures. On his website, BlogActive, Rogers writes that the meeting with his attorney indeed took place and that a letter has been sent to Graham’s office.
“I’ve prepared a written letter for Lindsey Graham’s press secretary that I will be mailing (Wednesday),” Rogers writes. will be sharing the next step which is to contact Lindsey Graham’s office (as instructed by my counsel) to show them what I have and to see if they want to make an on the record comment.”
Two months ago, Hustler publisher Larry Flynt said during a nationally-televised interview that he knew the identity of a homosexual U.S. Senator who was on the verge of being outed – but declined to name names.
“We know we’ve got a gay senator,” Flynt said during an appearance on CNN’s Newsroom. “We (would) just like to see him come out of the closet. And I think we’ll be exposing that in the next few months if he doesn’t.”
Flynt added that “we were ready to expose the senator at one time, but then the guy who is really his lover was actually married and that produced a kind of conflict that we didn’t want to — that we didn’t want to go to.”
Rumors about Graham’s alleged homosexuality have been whispered about in Palmetto political circles for many years, although no concrete proof has ever been offered.
These rumors attracted renewed attention back in April when the leader of a group that opposes Graham’s liberal policies on illegal immigration demanded that the Senator “make his homosexual lifestyle public knowledge in the interest of political integrity and national security.” The group’s spokesman claimed that Graham was “being manipulated” as a result of his alleged homosexuality.
Before that, a Democratic Congressional candidate claimed that Graham was one of several powerful Palmetto State Republicans who was also a closeted homosexual (Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer and Senate President Glenn McConnell were the others). She later withdrew her remark and claimed that she had no direct knowledge of Graham’s lifestyle.
Graham addressed these rumors directly for the first time back in July, telling New York Times reporter Robert Draper that he was not homosexual.
“I ain’t gay,” Graham told Draper.
As we’ve said on numerous previous occasions, we don’t care about Graham’s sexual orientation. Whether he’s gay, straight or asexual, that’s his choice – and he should be allowed to make it. Of course if he is being manipulated due to that choice … then that’s obviously a serious problem.
We oppose Graham for the simple reason that he is one of the most left-leaning “Republicans” in America – supporting amnesty for illegal immigrants as well as President Barack Obama’s push for higher energy taxes.

In light of this and the military’s new Don’t Ask/Don’t Squeal policy, I think the rumors that Sen. Graham might be President Obama’s pick to replace Gates as Defense Secretary might have some base in reality.

American heterosexuals have quite an unhealthy obsession with gay folks.
Just FYI, to the rest of the civilized world, this makes you look like ignorant assholes.
(Not that American heterosexuals have any objection to looking like total assholes, mind you.)
By political hack December 22, 2010 at 11:27 am
So if I were to say something along the lines like “homosexuality, including pedaphilia, is an abomination of natural laws Darwin himself would agree with. It is practiced by known, past and present, Fabians, elitists, progressives, and general mandarin types collectively who all seem to share the same individual liberty undermining ideology of socialism (ironically). Worshipped minds such as John Maynard Keynes and his fraternal circles would frequent the Barbary coast to illicit sex from boys; Facist supreme leader Adolf Hitler was also gay; and lets not forget in recent memory Barney Frank, who instigated GSEs to support the subprime industry and was on Congressional Financial oversight committee’s responsible for the very regulation that he later claimed a lack thereof as the catalyst to the crash, is also a turkey stuffer and peter piper” would this make me an ignorant asshole? Or merely socially and historically aware that perhaps there are synapses loose in the brains of powerful figures that just also happen to be flamers?
On a lighter note, I wonder how much money he is trying to get out of L.G. for this “picture of a man who spent the night as his house?”
What did he do, attend one of the late nighter drag fests and stay over himself? Or just wait in the bushes till the queens left the next morning/afternoon?
By conservative1 December 22, 2010 at 11:38 am
I, as a very heterosexual person, learned long ago from a few gay persons…being gay is not a choice. Everyone must accept what life brings and be happy.
By Lisa December 22, 2010 at 11:44 am
If this news does come out, I only hope the religious righteous republican right hypocrites (RRRRHs) politically stone him like they do all gays. Let them destroy the republican party — themselves — with their intolerance. They deserve themselves.
By commonman December 22, 2010 at 11:46 am
Bill, I am a RAGING American heterosexual and believe me I do not have any type of obsession with my gay brothers and sisters. To each his own. I do not like public displays of affection of any kind. Maybe you should have clarified that some Republican, Independent, and Democrat heterosexuals have an unhealthy obsession with gay folks. “Some” leaves a lot of room for those of us who do not.

Why the obsession with someone elses closet? How many are willing to open theirs?
By Staffer December 22, 2010 at 2:41 pm
The fact that he’s gay or being outed isn’t disturbing, its the backlash he’ll receive from his constituency. Can’t they beat him on the issues without preying on prejudice?
By Andy December 22, 2010 at 2:54 pm
I could not give a shit whether Graham gives it or gets it. What I do care about is his imbecilic, reactionary, John McCain following politics. The only reason he looks the least bit sane from time to time is because the standard for comparsion is Jim DeMentia.
By That Boz Guy @ The Beach December 22, 2010 at 3:45 pm
Dont’ care if he is, don’t care if he ain’t. But it’s sure as hell gonna be a big deal to a lot of people if he is and gets outed.
I personally don’t believe in outing people against their will, even those gays, lesbians, etc., who are powerful politically or who are big stars that are hypocrites on gay issues. That’s why I despise that obnoxious Perez Hilton twit.
Let ‘em live, let ‘em suck each other off, I say. Or whatever.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that …
By Dakota December 22, 2010 at 3:49 pm
And so what say you all about the friend’s of McCain and Graham?

Will totally-proven heterosexual Nikki appoint herself senator if he is driven by the legions of conservative bigots to resign?
By JackStone December 22, 2010 at 5:28 pm
If Graham can make it through a Republican primary challenge he will easily win re-election. The number of knuckledraggers in SC is dwarfed by moderate Republicans, Independents and conservative Dems. Look at it this way. In a head-to-head election Graham would defeat Jim DeMint.
By CDG December 22, 2010 at 6:51 pm
The necessity to push the South as far as possible towards permanent right-wing political machine dominance argues for destroying RINOs by any means available. Prejudice and bigotry like all human expressions of preference should be exploited to obtain power.
I really don’t care if Graham is gay, but outing would be a great way to turn Christians against him. Fred Phelps is quite correct that his imaginary friend “hates fags”.
Politics is war, opponents should be terrified of exposure, and own-side folks should be terrified ever to transgress Party rules. Politicians cannot be trusted so they should be kept in line by a healthy dose of fear.
By bogart December 22, 2010 at 7:00 pm
I’ll vote for a gay politician any day over a cheating Bible thumping heterosexual politician.

By housemom1952 December 22, 2010 at 7:19 pm
If you’re gonna out Graham then you might as well out Mark Kirk (IL) and the others that have sold their souls and voted against their party to avoid getting outed…transparency! Oh and don’t forget the orange guy from FL that lost and of course Obama!
By Huhhh??? December 22, 2010 at 8:15 pm
The main group that does the outing usually does it when the prime suspect has been hypocritical taking a position or voting on a gay issue. Since this is the first time Lindsey has had to vote on a gay issue and he voted the wrong way, it just may happen. Surely, the evidence is more substantial than someone leaving a residence in the middle of the night.
If only he’d done like Eric Cantor and take voice lessons, he would sound so much less gay.
That ole lounge lizard John McCain will have a stroke…I guess.

Wow, I found this heinous little site from a google link on Sen Graham.
I guess those of us who live in states who value intelligence, really are right when we look down our noses at the backwards southern hacks. I always thought that was a bit presumptuous…but after reading the comments by neanderthals like bozguy and politicalhack, I really do wish “y’all” would re-succeed….the real america promises to just let “y’all” do it this time.

So I am at a crossroads, and either one I choose will take me down a road I thought I would never go. So here I go down one of them.
I met Lindsey Graham in 2002 at a fundraiser at Sterling Garden Center, and the evening we met, he gave me his number and cruised me for several hours. I talked to him only once after that, until later in 2002.
I know Lindsey Graham is Gay, because have I been at a private party given in 2002 by my two good friends who were both Columbia Attorneys (they have been disbarred since 2007, but that’s another story), both were gay (and in a relationship together). Lindsey Graham was in the company of a young gay man @24, and I saw the two kiss and hold each other.
I will not say that I have engaged in any sexual acts with L.G. but IF I have, I would be pitching and he catching.
When I read this post, I went upstairs and said to my wife, ” baby, I want to tell you something… You know those pictures I have of myself and Lindsey Graham, well…”. So I guess I outed myself to her, and though I have not been with or in the company of, or interested in men since 2004, it is a part of my past, and if I can be man enough to admit it, so can L.G.

IntelligentPartOfTheCountry, I can find no commonality at all between my comments and those of political hack. Even though I’m hetero myself, I marched in favor of gay rights way back in the 70′s, before it was cool to do so. I happen to be in favor of gay marriage, and in general just do not give shit whether anyone is gay or not. If you dislike my comments because you’re a Perez Hilton groupie, that’s really sad for you. In my opinon he’s an evil little shithead who has attained fame partly because he takes it upon himself to out people. And Larry Flynt is an evil little crippled shithead who does the same thing. If “..let ‘em such each other off …” is what offended you, let me quote Joan Rivers and say “Oh, grow up!”

This would not be an issue for a private citizen, but Graham helps make policy for the entire nation. His voting record for gay rights has been a 0% every year since he’s been in office, except for 1 year where he got a 9%.
It’s not just his most recent votes on DADT, but he also helped pass DOMA and helped with other anti-gay legislation. He is hurting gays; it’s time for them to strike back.
By SnakeMd December 23, 2010 at 8:56 am
Hey, Mr.IntellegentPartOfTheCountry. So, why do you find this site so “heinous”? And calling TheBozGuy a Neanderthal really hurts. He is one of the sharper knives in the drawer here. You need to get back from over there with that opinion. We have been trying to “resucceed” in South Carolina mostly since Reconstruction. However, it gets more difficult as the years go by with all the boycotts and the banning of our sacred symbols, and such. Hell, the fire department want even issue burnin’ permits no more for burning crosses in the front yard. And our mule population is about nonexistent since all the suburbs have taken over our croplands. The Southern Poverty Law Center does manage to keep track of us and continues to let us know how backwards we are. You might want to check them out. If you ever get bored with the rest of the nation you can always come back to FitsNews for an unvarnished view of what is happening in this place we call home. “Y’all come back now, you hear?”
By That Boz Guy @ The Beach December 23, 2010 at 9:26 am
Jeff, yeah, obviously his DOTA vote was the tipping point on this.
Noticing the Pingback from HillBuzz, even though I haven’t read it yet, betcha their answer to the question about who he pissed of on the left will be Jim Clyburn.
By That Boz Guy @ The Beach December 23, 2010 at 9:39 am
OK, I was wrong about that one. But I got a good laugh out of the suggestion of a huge GOP closetted-gay-coming-out TV special on SuperBowl Sunday. That would be something worth TIVOing right there. But they can’t do it without Burt Parks to singing “Let ‘Em In”.

If Graham’s being blackmailed, he should quit for being a fool. We already believe he’s homosexual.
I’m in SC, near where he once worked for a law firm, and voted for him (in 2008 with great unhappiness)–and my gaydar goes off, whether it’s accurate or not. Everyone I know who voted for him thinks he’s gay. If he’s hearing more about it these days, maybe people are using the “gay” thing because they hate him for so many other reasons, and the gay thing might work to get rid of him.
He’s a mealy-mouthed, pretentious, arrogant twerp with delusions of “comity” and “collegiality” and he despises his constituency in South Carolina for not being sophisticated enough to understand how he’s selling us out for our own good. He sneers at an audience at Furman’s university for being “white” and all his lawyer donors are as white as can be. He tells “the bigots to shut up” at the racist La Raza. But it’s not like black voters in SC put him into office.
By one sonny January 24, 2012 at 10:35 am
I have lived in SC for 69 years and you can bet your bootie if he did come out he would be outed in or before the next election,I thought it was funny how he followed Bush so close when he would travel with him if Bush didnt give him signals LG would have broke his nose when GW changed dierctions, the first time I saw him I thought he was kinda flakie.I sure wouldn’t miss his ugly face if he disapeared.
By Soft Sigh from Hell December 23, 2010 at 10:36 am
OK, Graham gets outed, the Bible bigots get him hounded out (maybe to Sec. of Defense), and Nikki appoints Sanford? Herself? Her husband (gets him out of town)?
Or Graham gets defeated next time. By Wilson? Knotts?
This has potential to be pretty amusing. You know the late-night comedians are getting attuned. More antics from SC.
By ceilidh10 December 23, 2010 at 10:44 am
manipulated? I think Graham is a man of great intelligence and great thinking skills. Who cares about his orientation? You out people who take a strong stance against the group that they are secretly a part of. There are plenty of other closeted Republicans for you to pick on. Just make sure you do not use your dislike of his “liberalism” to cause him undue harm in the personal sphere. You tried to hurt Nikki and it backfired. Same could happen here. Graham is a great leader who knows how to cross the aisle and work with others just like Strom Thurmond did.
By one sonny January 24, 2012 at 10:39 am

We don’t need people who cross the aisle. We need people who punch the opposition in the throat. Cooperation isn’t necessary.
Kicking the Democrats and RINOs out of power is more important than ANY current national business except the ongoing wars, and legislative gridlock is acceptable in that pursuit.
By David December 24, 2010 at 11:25 pm
I couldn’t agree more with CDG.
By Catherine December 25, 2010 at 9:41 pm
Fits–I agree with you whole-heartedly. Doesn’t matter who you do where or when. You can’t help who your heart beats for. If, for some reason, his sexual orientation creates potential blackmail scandals, then that’s not okay. We should quit worrying about sexual preferences and worry more about how our elected Officials vote. That’s the only bottom line I care about.
By Lewis December 26, 2010 at 8:36 am
Don’t worry, Lindsay. You’ve got Andre, Glenn and Jean to watch your back.
By mountain man December 27, 2010 at 9:52 am
Here in the upstate, little Lindsey’s home ground, there is a story that back in his lawyering days he acquired Strom Thurmond’s large blackmail list with names of big local and national politicos. The story goes that the list has saved him from outing up ’til now. Guessing l’tle Lindsey made somebody mad who is not on the blackmail list.
This guy is NOT a great leader, but a snide, sarcastic, disrespectful political hack. Since before his last election, he has refused to munghle with the public, instead hiding out in the parking lot before making a last minute appearance for speaking engagements and other public functions.
