A good friend of mine called the other day from the campaign trail listening to Morrissey’s “Hang the DJ.” For whatever reason the call took me back …
In fact it took me all the way back to earlier this year, when one of my friends in the MSM mocked me for praising Morrissey on my Facebook page. Actually it did take me back, though, to boarding school circa 1993 when I finally realized that I was never going to be anything better than a mediocre athlete … but had the potential to be a better-than-mediocre musician.
Actually, such considerations never entered my mind. I found out that chicks dug guitar players more than basketball players.
