S.C. Senator Jakie Knotts is back in the news for his controversial “raghead” remark about GOP gubernatorial nominee Nikki Haley. Knotts, who made the comment on an internet talk show back in June, has been included in a Fall 2010 “Intelligence Report” sent to tens of thousands of journalists by the Southern Poverty Law Center.
In fact, Knotts’ quote receives top billing in the organization’s “Hate in the Mainstream” report.
Knotts apologized for his remarks – which he said were offered in jest – although he has drawn the ire of local and state Republicans, who considered booting him from the party earlier this summer (but didn’t).

I am surprised he is not wearing a RED NECK T-shirt instead of the $1,000. suit. I live in Lexington county and this man has never done anything for me. Yes, I have called his office and never heard a word from them. Are the people who answer his phones as stupid as he is or are they to busy picking out their RED NECK T-shirts? Fat, old white man giving out hate that lives in his heart. If hate did not live in his heart he would not speak the things he does. I placed 4 or 5 calls to Jakes Knotts’s office since June. He returned every call within a couple of days. Very nice man. And I also live in Lexington. Last year I placed three different calls to Haley’s office. Not even one was returned.

Jerry, tell me about it. I don’t really know Knotts, but I can appreciate your concern over him, or anyone like Knotts, who hates or despises a person for one reason, but then due to lack of mental prowess or ability to express themselves emotionally just looks towards a couple things in their outward appearance and uses that as the crutch for their frustration. E.g. Someone cuts you off in traffic, all he sudden you notice, it appears to be older asian female, so you think “Stupid old Jap bitch learn to drive.” Now I know you would NEVER do something like that, but obviously Sen. Knotts would right?
Or example No. 2. A legislature acts like a complete fool using the exact type of actions you scorn him for an you think (as noted in your comment above) “Fat, old white man.” Good one ya Jerry, you are way too smart to get caught up in the type of stereotyping hatred that that fat-ass old honkey Southerner did. Nope, no siree buddy, you are way above that sort of thing. Now, if we could just get all these dumb fat geriatric white guys out of the way right?

Jakie’s “bully” comes from loud jokes and bulletin board notes about his tiny penis during high school. The boys knew about it from the locker room, then everyone knew. He was one very angry teenager.
Jakie couldn’t beat up the whole school for making fun of him, but now he beats up and makes fun of anyone (like Nikki) as a senator, like revenge of the teen age. Jakie is a sick-o.

Many girls including me dated “Jakie” in high school, the era of drive in movies and smooching. He was handsome and trim but those of us who got intimate with him also got turned off by his “short comings.” These were also the days of the singer Tiny Tim, so we gave Jakie the nick name, “Tiny Jakie.”

As a Lexington resident, I will tell you that Jake Knotts is a fine person. He obviously said something that offended the citizens of SC. Heaven forbid that an elected official said what he really thought. We all know know that they are supposed to say what people want to hear. I applaud Jake Knotts for his hard work and for saying what he REALLY thought. Haley could not be honest if her wayward hiney depended on it!

Knotts only got re-elected because his scumbag campaign manager sent robo-calls to 2,500 Lexington County Democrats to get them to come out and vote for Jakie in the runoff election with Katrina Shealy. Those Dems knew Jakie was farther lefty than someone who had solid conservative principles by comparison (but then so does any ordinary rock). Knotts is a turncoat to Republican principles as shown by his racist remarks (like only you true Dems can spew). The true patriots of the various state Tea Party organizations know Knotts and Graham are anti-conservative, anti-constitutional freedom dinosaurs that should be given their walking papers.
You libs can spew all the hate your black hearts are clearly filled with, but it won’t halt the locomotive of conservative change that is coming to Washington DC and America in November 2010 and in 2012. I’d vote for Jake in a GOP open primary. I think he should stay the public face of GOP conservatism at the state level, just as Joe Wilson is at the national level. They reflect the SC GOP base perfectly. If Republicans above that redneck base want to improve the image, well just let them try.
