Melt Our Popsicles

Katy Perry was on the Today show Friday morning, which of course prompted our founding editor to immediately suspend all newsroom activities so that he could have some “alone time” with high definition network television.

Decked out in a pink tutu and skin-tight “vajazzled” leotard, Perry was on Today performing her hit song “California Gurls,” which contends that the women of the Golden State are “fine, fresh” and “fierce,” as well as “unforgettable” and “so hot (they)’ll melt your Popsicle.”

Hmmm … can Carolina girls do that (at least those not currently running for governor)?
