By FITSNews || Most people assume that our founding editor spent the summer of 2002 working to elect Mark Sanford governor of South Carolina.
That’s only partially true.
Sic Willie’s primary objective during the summer of 2002 wasn’t electing Sanford (his boss at the time), it was trying to “hook it up” with one Rebecca Kirkland (hatted, above), who lived old “Shanty” bar on Sullivans Island with a group of scorching hot North Carolina girls.
Each one of these girls – including Rebecca and “Eager Sam” – ended up volunteering on the Sanford campaign, albeit not in the manner Sic would have preferred. In fact, the lovely Kirkland (now Rebecca Halberg) was somehow able to resist Sic’s repeated advances and, um, “charms” – thus avoiding a life of getting cheated on, lied to and occasionally tossed into furniture.
Well-played, darlin.
Meanwhile, Sic was forced to settle for another blond.
Anyway, Rebecca is now an attorney at Collins and Lacy in Columbia, S.C., where she specializes in workers’ compensation cases. In addition to being an accomplished attorney, she’s also one of South Carolina’s most active young do-gooders, winning the 2008 “Rotarian of the Year” award at her local club for her work in raising money for Alzheimer’s research.
Rebecca also volunteers with Children’s Chance, a group that raises money for kids with cancer.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (where she received her received her degree in Journalism and Mass Communication), Kirkland is not only “train smoke hot,” she’s also got one of the sexiest voices on the planet. Seriously, it’s got a dash of Eartha Kitt in it or something (we’re not sure, exactly), and even though all Sic ever heard was “I don’t like you in that way,” it was still hot as hell.

Sick Willie…are you now alleging that you nailed Merdith Land after this girl had the good sense to deny your charms? I guess more unsubstantiated inneuendo a la “Haleygate” will be seeping out of your sewer? IF you did somehow manage to pry open those pearly white gates, I suspect a roofie and alcohol were involved.

Dude. Sic dated Land during the entire general election campaign thru Jan. 2003, in fact. The blogs at the time had a field day with it given that she was covering Sanford’s campaign while Folks was the press secretary.
And unlike Haley (who is tat-free), Ms. Land has (or had) some describable ink.

I have repeatedly told Will Folks that I do pro bono treatments for individuals with his disorders and or conditions. His condition is now accepted by the National Institute of Psychiatrists as treatable. It is not a personality disorder as previously thought. He does not have the funds or resources to treat himself. He will go broke before he gets well. I can help him with my no-cost program. I need the tax write off. If you know Will or his wife please convince them to ring me up ASAP. We need to get started before he brings additional shame to his family.
