Haley, Scott Make National List

politico

By FITSNews || S.C. Reps. Nikki Haley and Tim Scott won big GOP primary elections last month in South Carolina – and now both have landed on a watch list of up-and-coming national political luminaries.  Dubbed “instant GOP stars,” Haley and Scott appear on a “50 Politicos to Watch” list published Friday by The Politico, arguably the nation’s most influential political website.

Here’s what the publication had to say about Scott:

It’s much more than the color of Scott’s skin that has made top Republicans take notice of his ascent. To win the primary and earn his spot as the clear front-runner in a conservative district, Scott had to rise above Paul Thurmond and Carroll Campbell III, heirs to the state’s most potent political legacies — those of the late Sen. Strom Thurmond and former Gov. Carroll Campbell. Both sons ran against Scott.

And here’s an excerpt from its take on Haley:

From the governor’s mansion, she would be poised to play a huge role in anointing the GOP’s 2012 presidential nominee. But she stands to win more than just the governorship in 2010. Sweeping the House would give Haley a party that is younger and owes less to the GOP establishment — and one that is more willing to look beyond a stable of candidates who have been in politics for decades and are seen as waiting in line, insiders say.

Props to both Haley and Scott … of course we wonder how long it will take for the S.C. Democratic  Party to attack them for getting good ink.

“Props to both Haley and Scott … of course we wonder how long it will take for the S.C. Democratic Party to attack them for getting good ink. ”

Step 1. Set up fake twitter and youtube accounts
Step 2. Upload conspicuously professionally produced attack video to youtube
Step 3. Have circule jerk political consultant hacks tweet said video without their own commentary like f’n drones…

    She is not open.
    She is not transparent.
    Her views are unknown.
    Her record is unknown.
She thinks her curry does not stink.
She is too good to talk to people.

This is turning a sow’s ear into a silk purse.

Isn’t SC Politico connected to Haley’s consultant John Lerner???

If so, wouldn’t this recognition be the same as FITS endorsing/promoting a Howard Rich sponsored candidate OR Palmetto Scoop promoting a Richard Quinn client???

    Haley’s bought and paid for.

That’s because the GOP doesn’t have many minorities in the party, so they have to make tokens of the few they do have.

This will likely end up being the Superbowl, but without the cool commercials.

The game seldom lives up to the hype.

If The Politico had a “Most Likely to Defeat Lindsey Graham in 2014″, Haley & Scott would be at the head of the list. The only bad thing about that is that 2014 is so far away. Of course the national press would greatly miss the malleable, weak-kneed, gentle-speaking useful idiot that is Lindsey Graham.

Here “y’all” go again even after I told you shut up and think.
Please see my post under “Let’s Talk Credibility. Shall We?” By SubZeroIQ on July 3rd, 2010 at 11:32 pm.
All you’re talking about are persons, and the alleged sex lives or lack thereof of persons at that.
What we should be talking about are constitutional amendments THIS NOVEMBER, yes, THIS NOVEMBER, for everything from voter initiatives, to recall elections for public officials, to judicial election reform, to having a MANDATORY taxpayer tax-payer refund law requiring savings in government programs to be rebated to tax-payers.
That’s the problem with “y’all.” You rely on politicians to do everything for you, including mutually exclusive things, then you only talk about their sex lives.
You’re getting the government you deserve.
You want better government? Work harder for voter-initiated amendments to the South Carolina Consitution.
