Clyburn Pimp Hand: Still Strong

By FITSNews || U.S. Poverty Pimp … err, Majority Whip Jim Clyburn has spent more than $2 million on his reelection bid over the last eighteen months, although a review of his financial disclosure forms reveals that nearly all of that money has gone to support other Democratic candidates.

For starters, Clyburn has sent a whopping $970,000 in “excess campaign funds” to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee over that time period.  He’s also doled out more than $200,000 directly to Democratic candidates all over the country – including U.S. Rep. John Spratt and Rob Miller, both of whom are in competitive Congressional elections in South Carolina.

Clyburn has given smaller checks to a number of local organizations including NAACP branches and local Chambers of Commerce, and has even stroked a check to Columbia Mayor Steve Benjamin – who many view as his heir assuming that South Carolina still has a “majority-minority” district after the 2010 Census.

Even after unloading all of that cash, Clyburn still has $1.5 million on hand – compared to his Republican “rival,” who has less than $10,000 in the bank.

‘Mo diggity, y’all …

Fits, I wonder how much money all the candidates for US House and Senate have still in the bank while they are spending away? Don’t you think they could help the people out that gave them that money, or wait, maybe put it to something good other than corrupt fellow politicians. Good Lord, moving may be the best option.

I still say Pelosi has got the second best rack on a Speaker of the House in U.S. History. Second only to Dennis Hastert.

    Fred,

Anton Gunn lives in Joe Wilson’s District (Sic has his heirs confused). Plus, Clyburn doesn’t even like Mr. Gunn. So Benjamin is the guy. Glad to see Clyburn wasting his money on Spratt and Miller. I think both will lose in November.

Anyone who thinks that Jimboy Clyburn represents the best interests of the 6th district has to be seriously misguided. Since he became the Democrat whip, his focus has been at the national Democrat level and not on his district. Let’s review his performance for the last few years:support of Obamacare, which will raise taxes on every American that has medical insurance by taxing the employer contribution at the end of the year. Figure it like this, the average employer contribution in SC is app. $7500, so take your adjusted gross income off your last federal tax return, add $7500 and see what happens. More likely than not, if you got a refund you now will owe additional taxes; Clyburn’s support raised the tax brackets we all pay, the brackets will increase from 10% to 15%, 25% goes to 28%, 28% to 31%; 33% to 36% and 35% to 39.6%;Clyburn’s vote to reduce child tax credit from $1000 to $500 and to cut dependent tax care credits. Clyburn supports phasing out itemized deductions and personal exemptions on your taxes and goes further in reducing the standard deduction for married couples to the single level. Had enough, yet?!

Jim Clyburn, has used his position to delay construction of I-73 through counties that have double digit unemployment, unless funding for a bridge from Lone Star to Rimini was built first. Construction of 73 will create 1000-2000 desperatley needed jobs in Marion and the surrounding counties for a bridge to no where that will benifit less than 500. Had enough?!

Jim Clyburn, who when he has a town hall meeting, does it out of his district, falls asleep on stage and gets testy when a citizen of this state dares to ask him a question. The same Jim Clyburn that couldn’t find his way around his district without a Garmin and GoogleEarth. Had enough, yet?!

Ask yourself one simple question. Are you better off now, than you were in 1992, when Clyburn was first elected to Congress? No? Then have you had enough, yet??!!

If you have had enough, then this election you have a choice. You can support Jim Pratt, the Republican nominee for the 6th. Visit JimPrattforCongress.com to donate. No amount is to small. To those who think that Clyburn is unbeatable, remember that’s what former Democrat Speaker Tom Foley thought, until he got beat in 1994 by a virtual unkown.
Only by coming together can the people of this district and this state send a message to Clyburn, WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH!!…Tom Grimes, Chairman 6th Congressional District Republican party.

Clyburn is for Clyburn and all those zombies who vote for him and Alvin Greene are just little serfs voting for their handouts. We have ourselves to blame. All of us are at fault. There are no innocent parties here. The voters wanted Clyburn and they got him – and his entire family – just like Wilson and Spratt and Sanford and Bush, and Clinton and Gore and Kerry and Pelosi and on and on and on. Defeating Clyburn will not change anything in Washington. We must defeat all of these idiots and start over & that cannot happen with the system we have now.

Does Mr. Grimes or anyone else have any more information about Mr. Clyburn delaying I-73 till a bridge from Lone Star to Rimini is approved? I find that a little hard to believe…but possible.
