By FITSNews || U.S. Vice President Joe Biden – the original “big f*cking deal” – is coming to Columbia, S.C. next week to raise money for embattled House Budget Chairman John Spratt.
Biden’s visit will take place on Friday, July 23, according to The (Rock Hill, S.C.) Herald. Prior to the event for Spratt (which is being held at the South Carolina State Museum), Biden is scheduled to dedicate an $18 million taxpayer-funded library at the University of South Carolina.
So he’s doing his fair share of damage, in other words …
Anyway, Biden’s visit is a clear sign that the administration of President Barack Obama plans on mounting an aggressive defense of Spratt – who according to an analysis conducted by The Washington Post supported the Democratic agenda in Congress 97.8 percent of the time. Spratt also famously failed to pass a budget because he was too busy ramming Obama’s socialized medicine bill through the House.
Not surprisingly, the fourteen-term incumbent is facing his toughest reelection fight ever from State Senator Mick Mulvaney, one of the top fiscal conservatives in the S.C. General Assembly.
“I suppose that’s how it works in D.C.,” Mulvaney told FITS in response to the news of Biden’s visit. “You push Obamacare instead of passing a budget and your prize is the VP at a fundraiser.”
