By FITSNews || Our good friend Travis Bell – who does an amazing job each year helping us cover University of South Carolina and Clemson athletics – has just posted a collection of awesome pics from Thursday’s ceremonial raising of the Gamecock flag above the S.C. State House.

Anyway, prior to his career as an award-winning photojournalist, Bell was the official state photographer under Gov. Jim Hodges – which means photographing the State House is old hat for him.
Also, while literally hundreds of politicians have taken credit for their non-existent roles in hoisting “the garnet and black” above the capitol dome, we’d like to take a moment to honor an especially attentive friend who actually got the job done.
