Sheheen Issues Statement On GOP Runoff Results

vincent sheheen prime time

By FITSNews || S.C. Senator and Democratic gubernatorial nominee Vincent Sheheen responded to the nomination of Nikki Haley with barely a whimper on Tuesday night, sending out a “throw away” email to supporters through one of his political operatives.

Here’s Sheheen’s decidedly non-newsworthy message:

I congratulate Rep. Haley on winning the Republican nomination for governor in tonight’s runoff. I look forward to a robust debate on the issues about the future of our state during the general election season. This is not going to be an easy campaign. Rep. Haley has had the benefit of national media attention and support from Washington, DC elites over the past few weeks. That level of national attention is likely to increase over the coming months given the support of Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney, and other national figures. It is crucial that we buckle down, focus, fundraise, and organize in South Carolina during the coming months. We MUST win in November, but we have so much work to do before then. Let’s get started! I’d appreciate it if folks would contribute tonight. Thanks to everyone for your support.

Hmmmm … that’s pretty vanilla if you ask us, with the only real shot at Haley being her proximity to “Washington, DC elites.”

Perhaps Sheheen’s advisors recognize that Haley’s star (or comet, if you prefer) is at its highest point right now, and that any criticism of her will undoubtedly fall on deaf ears – particularly while the mainstream media shines Kleig lights on her historic win.

Sheheen is correct, though, in saying that it is “not going to be an easy campaign” for him.

The most recent polling – conducted by Rasmussen Reports – shows Haley with a 21 percentage point lead in the general election.

So she just actually got the nomination last night, but she is ahead by 21
points! Well Hell I guess there is NO NEED for me to try to listen to BOTH candidates from now till Nov. To decide whom I think will be best for SC. I AM A INDEPENDANT voter always have been, always will be, I like some from both parties, as much as I dislike some from parties.

Sheheen is the best candidate for Governor and Nicki’s win is the BEST thing that could have happened to a Sheheen candidacy.

Whether it be her questionable religious affiliation, her questionable promotion of government transparency (Sanforesqe: transparency should only apply to others) or her questionable decisions in regard to her marriage infidelity. She is NOT the best choice for a Republican nominee.

Voters now have until November to decide if she is the real deal.

Imagine how much the consulting firms will be willing to pay her for her “contacts” once she wins governor. With any luck, she will emulate her benefactor S. Palin and resign within a year and a half after taking office, so we can get a real governor for the first time in a decade. Be careful with your S.C. Lt. Gov. vote people!

Vincent Sheheen just gave a really nasty press conference too… saying that Nikki was funded by special interest… Sanford candidate… etc… someone needs to tell him that she doesn’t have paps doing her fund raising…

Vincent Sheheen just proposed a 20% incentive for in state companies bidding on state contracts… that seemed to be an insane ammount so I did a little research and thus far I can’t find any state that has it that high… it’s usually around 5-10%… please please please Will or whoever is working here, do some research on this… it could win the election right now if it shows Sheheen has no idea what he’s talking about… for 1) this is a tax increase for everyone who doesn’t get gov contracts… 2) it costs businesses money to bid on contracts. Why would out of state businesses even try if they’re down 20%?

If I’m right and that amount is insane, I want Nikki to take a good pop shot at Sheheen and that fat dumb fuck Otis Rawl at the chamber of commerce…

As much as 30% of the State GOP money and almost all of the Cola Mafia are meeting today to plot the destruction of Nuckie.

This can not be allowed to stand….this peoples movement smacks of Ron Paul and Lord Lindsey and Lord Leatherman will not allow this cancer and the Loftis candidacy to get in the way.

The Kremlinator signing is just the beginning of the deals that will be cut in the coming days…..the masses do not know how bad it is and now that the primaries are over the real budget blues will come out.

Pension fraud under Leathermans appointee and head boy….and of course more budget breakdowns…….. Vince is a man and he is one of us boys…..Citadel men unite …….the cunts have taken us down again….Good Ole Boys……Rednecks….knuckle draggers…..Cola Mafia…….we all know Bailout blinked on the lie detector because he would have failed it if she made him go first….unite ….stop the people of South Carolina from running this State …preserve the 160 years of thievery and cronyism.

In my view, an endorsement by Mitt Romney is of dubious value. He was Tommy Ravenel’s point man in South Carolina and he welcomed his endorsement of Pat Robertson not very long after Robertson recommended the assassination of Hugo Chavez. Robertson’s other public comments include assigning the death and pain that have resulted of the earthquakes in Hatti to Hatti’s Pact with the Devil and the attacks of 9/11 as the due punishment of the United States.

I’m a Democrat and even I’m not foolish enough to think Vincent Sheheen has any chance of winning this race. Unless something breaks as a scandal for Nikki. Since we all know at this point there are no skeletons in her closet, she’ll win this easily.

    Yarr,

Okay, prove it. Give me evidence that Sheheen proposes to raise taxes on small businesses. A video, a transcript, a webpage, a non-partisan news article- just something. Morons are people that believe everything they hear that is consistent with their own objectives without asking questions. So, prove YOU’RE not a moron. I think the fact that you’re a bullshit peddling douchebag goes without saying, however.

Hello and good evening, all good friends and neighbors!

I have a statement for Mister Vincent Her-heen!

Soon you will be visited by a full eight-armed pounding by the goddess Nikki Haley of Lexington County!

She will beat you the way I once beat an aggressive beggar on the street of Calcutta!

She will beat you so bad your face will finally look semi-masculine!

She will beat you like my wife beats the rugs after my mother has visited!

She will beat your pants off and then not have sex with you!

She is going to beat you into all your future reincarnations!

You will wake up one day as a sore, beaten-up mongoose!

I am telling you, loser Her-heen, she will beat you!

You are an insignificant zero of a nothing!

Nikki thinks less of you than she thinks of her mascara, and she doesn’t need mascara because she has the eyes of a goddess in every man’s wet dreams!

Those eyes can what you are, Her-heen!

You are an idiot mortal Bubba-being from a crapped-on haystack to think you have the slightest chance to oppose her Nikkiness!

Our goddess is taking South Carolina from the Fourth World to the Third World and no wimpy Vincents can obstruct this type of progress!

    Also, you are not sexy!

    As we say in Mumbai:

Take a long hike on a bed of hot coals, unenlightened fool!

I can’t wait to sing songs and dance happy dances over your disgraceful performance in Nikki’s political bed!

No Levitra will levitate your flaccid campaign!

    Palin-Haley 2012!

I can see India from my house!

Mrs. Haley will beat She-heen but it will not be a landslide, in my opinion. Very few blacks will vote for her (although they would be voting overwhelmingly for her as a minority, were she a democrat), and the “walking around money” will be doing it’s thing to get them to the polls. 52-48 is my guess. But she (Haley not she-heen) will absolutely win. If the democrats start trashing her like the RINO’s have for the past three weeks or so, she may very well win big against She-heen.

For what it is worth, the endorsement of Palin, Romney and “Jenny” didn’t mean jack to me as I am not wild about either Palin or Romney for President and just don’t like “Jenny”. I voted for Haley because I believe she will be a great governor and it is time we gave a woman a shot at leading South Carolina.

I for one think this election will be fairly entertaining. You can certainly see evidence that the Columbia political class and vested interests in this state are coalescing around Sheheen. That fact combined with the fact that much of the casually political/country club republican types are not quite sure what to make of Haley (and damn sure don’t like the Palin connection and comparisons) equals trouble for Haley and significantly mitigates any chance of a Haley landside.

The usual suspects on the democratic side (trial lawyers, educrats and other government employees, and minorities (particularly those in the midlands)) are going all-in with Sheheen. He will have the $$$ he needs to make the fight fair. In fact, he will have a large chunk of the money that would have gone to any of the other republican candidates (save Bauer) had they been the nominee.

I would consider my own support of Haley tepid right now, and I think I am a fairly decent barometer for a large segment of the traditional republican voting block in SC.
