Haley Pledges To Serve Full Term

haley full term

By FITSNews || S.C. Rep. Nikki Haley said this week that she will serve a full term if elected governor of South Carolina in 2010.

Haley’s sudden rise from fourth-place candidate to presumed GOP nominee (in less than two months time) has many speculating that she will seek national office in 2012. In fact, several have already pegged her as a possible running mate of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

Haley is pouring cold water on such speculation, however.

“Yes, we’ll serve our full term,” Haley told The Politico‘s Kasie Hunt this week. “I’m not a normal elected official that this is like, the next stepping stone.”

Is this an issue? Is this news? Even with a foregone conclusion of a gubernatorial runoff and election, are we already into the dog days of a slow news summer?

I’m looking forward to BO getting defeated in 2012. Nikki on the GOP ticket is pie in the sky and if reality would increase BO’s chances for another term. Remember, he running mate’s opponent’s running mate would not be Alvin Greene.

Re – Haley Pledges to Serve Full Term

    From Haley Interview, WVOC, 6-3-10:

“If something comes out after you win the primary, or after you win the general election [to] become South Carolina’s next governor, if something were to come out that validates the claims that have been made against you — in terms of stepping out on your husband and on your marriage — would you resign as governor because basically the way you’ve handled it has been an absolute, 100 percent denial?” the host asked Haley.

    “Yes,” the state representative responded.

“Yes, you would resign?” the host again asked.

    “Yes,” she said.

Sarah Palin was elected gov in 2006… she had the highest popularity rating of any gov in the country for about a year and a half(it came down a bit right before she was picked but still very popular)… then she was selected at the last minute to be VP in 2008 long before she was ready… and ended up somewhat of a joke…

If Nikki were to win this gov race and if she were to accept someones VP offer in 2012 then she would be a moron… VP doesn’t do anything and the chances of taking over are slim… and you have to vouch and advocate for another person’s platform and positions…

As much as you wish it to be so, I don’t see the GOP getting the voter movement necessary to beat Obama in 2012. That’s not to say that something couldn’t change between now and then, but I sure don’t see that kind of movement so far.

Obama won by over 8 million votes, with a whopping electoral vote margin from states in all geographic areas. 8 million votes is more than the combined populations of red states Wyoming, Alaska, Idaho, Montana, North Dakots, South Dakota, and Utah combined (and that’s total population, not just voters).

What inroads has the GOP made with the largest and fastest-growing voter blocs, women, Hispanics, blacks, and students? And remember, they not only need to make up over 8,000,000 votes, they need them targeted and widespread enough to sway enough elections in blue or purple states to win the Electoral College.

Maybe if your party wasn’t also alienating independent “swing” voters with your relentless move to the right extreme, I could see a possibility. Right now, I can’t. Seriously, where are the numbers?

For one, Palin will never get the nomination. But even if the sky fell and she did- it would make no sense to pick Haley as a VP as it wouldn’t really bring in any new voters.

How’s this for irony: As the ’12 presidential primaries wind down and the realization in the GOP that nominating Palin is political suicide, she’ll likely be locked in a delegate battle not unlike Obama/Clinton.

And to shake things up – just as McCain did – she’ll end up going way, way off the beaten path to choose a running mate.

And she’ll blow it, big time – just as McCain did.

Oh, and if you have information about this “stealing of millions of votes” I suggest you take this information to the state elections board(s) at issue, because I’ve failed to find any instances of voter fraud prosecuted against ACORN in the 2008 election.

And finally, does she really believe that she is going to get anything done in a state that’s governed by the legislature when she calls them “The Good Old Boys”? Is Nikki going to bring pigs to the state house, too or is that taboo for her Indian culture?

The Mystery Of Nikki’s “WE” Explained

There is no mystery here if you are familiar with Indian culture (irrespective of religion), languages & how one expresses humility and pride. Two theories (not necessarily mutually exclusive):

1)In Indian languages of Punjabi & Hindi(the languages Nikki’s parents speak) and most others, there is a common word for both “I” and “we”. For ex. the Hindi word “Hum” means both “we” and “I”. There are other words to refer to “I” like “Mai” but “Hum/We” is generally used to refer to oneself when someone takes pride in himself/herself.

2)Generally speaking we Indians are brought up by our parents to not give credit to ‘ourselves’; we give it to “we” or “God” (ie Nikki Haley might be crediting her victory to her whole team; if she reigns as as Gov. she means her whole team is kinda resigning/let down too…).

Maybe Nikki was being both proud and humble in her race to be the next governor, and in misspeaking, she gave away her Indian cultural and linguistic roots.

What happens if proof of the affair comes out after she wins the GOP nomination? The conversation between Will and Nikki’s campaign manager was very troubling. She said she’d resign, so does that leave the Govenor’s office for the Democrats to take without a fight?

    What a fine mess.

The “Super-Conservatives,” or the “loony right-wing fringe” as I call you, have about 18% of the American voters living in the GOP and Libertarian Parties right now.

This corresponds with the “loony left” or “the lefties” as I call ‘em (mostly because I’m one of them) which occupies about 18% of the extreme left wing of the Democratic and Socialist Parties right now.

Neither of these will win an election by themselves, that’s why we try to paint the GOP as loony right wing fringe, while you try and paint Obama and the Dems as loony left wing fringe.

The truth is that it is the “mushy middle” who elects the president, not some huge non-existent groundswell of “Super Conservatives.” I trust Obama’s and the Dem’s ability to garner their support over Sarah Palin and her ilk’s.

Just my opinion, but not “bs,” as you were undoubtedly able to detect.

There is no way that those two dingbats win anything outside of the South or the frozen tundra of Alaska. We’ve tried letting the village idiot run the show and we see how well that worked out – endless wars, uncontrollable deficits, and the creation of the worst economy since the depression. People in South Carolina are used to be in last place, so we don’t mind voting for someone even though we know that they are going to continue the policies of someone (Sanford) who ran our state into the ground. But fortunately people in other parts of the country demand a little more.

And another thing. Anyone who thinks either Haley or Palin are hot does not get out much. I mean this chick Isabel Goulart who is featured on the blog today is hot. Tom Brady’s wife is hot. Hell, even that lawyer who was picked hottest in the State is hot. But these two – Palin and Haley – are not hot!

I would say that people must have a different standard when it comes to people with brains, but these two don’t have a complete working brain between the two of them. These two are nothing more than opportunists who apparently will, if they believe that it will further their careers, take any position, stab anybody in the back, and in Haley’s case sleep with any loser that comes along.

If South Carolina elects Nikki Haley as its governor we will be in for more of the same that we have had for the last eight years. We will continue to be last in education. We will continue to be close to the top in unemployment. And we will continue to be the laughing stock of the nation.

When Rand Paul had just won the primary in Kentucky and then felt cocky enough to go on National media and truly let people know what an idiot he was, a prominent unnamed Kentucky official said that his performance was really going to hurt his chances of being elected because Kentuckian’s did not like being embarrassed. Why can’t we in South Carolina be like the people of Kentucky. Here we not only don’t mind being embarrassed, we revel in it.

    Please hold your breath.

Also, I “can’t wait” until the day after Election Day in November when the Democrats still control both houses of Congress. Sure, the GOP will most likely make some gains. That’s not unusual in an “off-year” election for the party in power to lose some seats.

    But a “tsunami?”

Sure. If none of the Democrats vote and just decide to turn it over to the Party of No. Thanks for the help of you and your ilk in keeping us motivated.

How about pledging to pay back every dime she earns as Governor as well as any contributions to her election campaign? And the thing is, even if she did jump ship to run with Saint Sarah, her zombie army wouldn’t have a problem with it. Sheheen is looking better all the time.

McCain could NOT take his eyes off her boobs and butt while on stage. Me thinks Naughty Nikki is going down the same road…lord knows she is comfortable around men.

Ahhhhhhhh, the Naughty Nikki Camp at their best. Sorry folks, but that is just so bland, boring, redundant. Can’t you come up with something a tad more clever???

Doesn’t matter. No Homor Connor is going to keep the theme of cheating and lying alive. Seems that a few of Connor’s former classmates are quite vocal about the hypocrisy. Same applies to Naughty Nikki. Too late for banging and begging for forgiveness. Too much to forgive. Oh the lies, do they never end??????????????????

This person worked for Turner Padgett, she defrauded the medicaid system for 8 years for hundreds of thousands of dollars. She was fired because she was caught forging the HR Manager’s name to the income verification forms. She hired Jack Swerling to represent her. McJester’s Office agreed to a plea, a $50 fine and one day in jail, served.

Kind of ironic McJester wants to sue the Feds for the Health Care reform.

LMAO at the hypocrites of the GOP!!

Check it out Will, that is of course you can handle the truth!!

    Paris Sailin;

You’re not really delusional enough (or buzzed enough on the Kool-Aid) to believe that ACORN didn’t engage in voter fraud, are you? And your evidence for this outlandish assumption is a lack of criminal prosecutions? Seriously?

Even my lib friends laugh at ACORN’s audacity, and Holder (the Obama regime’s lapdog over at Justice) wouldn’t even prosecute the Black Panthers caught ON VIDEO chasing white voters from the polls with sticks!

What would tend to make anyone think that DOJ would come after the group who helped put BHO in office?

By the way, voter fraud’s not their only game; ACORN perpetrated all kinds of shenanigans:

Saw the Haley – Barrett “debate” on WISTV. Don’t know why they don’t just call them Q & A sessions, which they are. Very, very little the two candidates didn’t agree on, so it was just a matter of hitting the talking points for the most part. I was more impressed with Haley’s command of the issues discussed. I will vote for her but after seeing him in two of these so called debates, I wouldn’t honestly have a problem voting for him if he was the Republican nominee.. Still better than voting for She-heen (aka Obama white and lite).

Here’s some more material to drive the likes of Billy Bob, Florida Watching, ceilidh10 and their ilk deeper into their psychosis. This is how Haley is being perceived out in the real world despite the vile, obscene babbling of the psychopathic posters here – babbling which is ineffectual and unheard in the real world. In about 5 months these strange posters will be an unknown footnote in Nikki Haley’s life story. In the footnote they will be identified as among the earliest of those afflicted with (and crippled by) Haley Derangement Syndrome (HDS). HDS will be recognized by the irrational Haley hatred displayed by the afflicted and their complete self separation from reality and from the normal, clean living population that recognize the inherent goodness and decency of Nikki Haley.

    The Debate

I could see Barrett repeating verbatim the answers which Haley was very very confidently. very quick and articulate….Barrett was no match.
However one thing I must point out. Haley used the word accountant too many times. She needs to stop that. Similarly Barrett used the sentence ” We need to think out of the box” in almost all his answers and was not at all specific on solutions. Most of the time it was like an exam where he was like getting all his answers from the student on the next desk.
