SC Budget In Limbo

By FITSNews || While the Palmetto state (a.k.a. the “Friskiest State”) has been consumed by various political soap operas, the business of government has been limping along at an even slower pace than usual.

Which is saying something …

Specifically, the “Republican-controlled” S.C. General Assembly is on the verge of finishing up its third consecutive thoroughly unproductive session (click here and here to read about the previous two sessions) by failing to pass a state budget.

As of this writing, the S.C. House of Representatives is around twelve votes shy of approving the State Senate’s version of the budget, which includes roughly $5 billion in general funds but more than $16 billion in “other” funds and federal dollars.

Add all of those funding streams up and you’ve got a $21 billion spending plan – the largest budget in South Carolina history.

Lawmakers – led by House Speaker Bobby Harrell (RINO-Charleston) and Ways and Means Chairman Danny Cooper (RINO-Anderson) are scrambling to line up the votes they need to pass the plan, which must be approved by both chambers prior to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Hey I see we’re going into “business as usual” mode. I guess we are all supposed to forget that you accused a married candidate of sleeping with you?

You are an absolute and complete pussy! At least have the balls to come out and say you made it up.

Is there anyone in SC politics trying to do right, live right, actually move this state forward, could you please put the spotlight on them? I am sick of these good ole boy games & political slime.

I’d love to see a blog, & would hit it up a 100x a day, that showcases what decent politicos are doing.

Everyone across this great state is laughing at Will Folks the idiot. Will’s career is over, but I pray Nancy Mace will get as far away from his as possible to save any career she may still have.

Love to see the state move forward?

Bump Harrell, Catoe, Chellis, Bauer, and McMaster and Barrett. Vote reformers in. If you don’t like them, dump them is 4 year. But electing the same old insider again and again will never change a thing.

Vote out all incumbents, the newbies may or may not work out but if you relect the shit birds you will get the same old shit for another 4 yrs.

The skirt chasing bastards have partied on our dime far too long.
They are always spending tax payer money on chasing lonely housewives of Columbia.
