First Will said he was done talking about this. That he was pressured to come out in order to stop the drip drip drip of media reports. Now we know he lied when he said he was done talking about this.
It is abundantly clear that Will Folks is the number 1 media “source” who is causing the drip drip drip of rumor and innuendo. Will has still failed to provide any evidence of his accusations or subject himself to cross-examination or serious media interviews.

I am shocked at how many people are willing to believe Folks, without any evidence to support his claim. Not only that, but Folks only said he had an “inappropriate physical relationship”; what does that mean? For all we know, that could mean he tried to kiss Haley and she slapped him. Folks never even said there was a consensual sexual relationship, but everyone is jumping to conclusions prematurely. To me it is obvious this is just to distract attention from the real issues in the campaign and Haley’s qualifications. There is no evidence Folks was coerced into any of his daily drip of rumor and innuendo. This is clearly politically motivated and timed to hurt Haley. Folks lied when he said he would have nothing else to say about this.

Again, the beauty of shutting the Hell up is lost. Take it from an old pro retired from the game, Sic, you gotta know when to be quiet and to learn the servant’s code. I worked for some politicians years ago with their own scandals. But, we kept our mouths shut. Who slept with who and who we might have even slept with stays with us old guys to our graves.
Sure, some people might think you are a hero for telling your story with Haley, who at the time you worked for. But, not for one moment do I want you to think I am one of them, even if you prove to be right beyond doubt.
You broke the old code. Right or wrong, it is something political hands adhere to. The people we worked for way back when trusted us. We kept that trust.
I like you, Sic, as you know, and most of time enjoy your point of view. But, brother, on this one, you are letting your ego cloud your judgment. Being at a candidate’s side in a campaign allows you see them at their weakest. You will learn their doubts and their fears and even have chances, if they are of the opposite sex, to embrace them. But, you keep your mouth shut about it.

CNN is calling Will Folks a liar:
While Pearson and Folks make allusions to the “rumor,” there is nothing in the correspondence proving Folks’ claim that he had an “inappropriate physical relationship” with Haley in 2007.
Pearson said the text messages are authentic but said he was only working with Folks to prevent “false rumors” from coming to light.
“This blogger’s overactive imagination has gone into overdrive,” Pearson said in an e-mail to CNN. “South Carolina politics is full of rumors and innuendo, and of course our campaign did everything in our power to prevent false rumors about Nikki from airing out in the media as they now have.
“Every campaign would have done exactly the same thing,” he added. “As always, Nikki is determined to keep this campaign focused on the people and issues that matter.”

I have supported Ms. Haley in other elections…. However, I have said this before and will continue to believe that you can be honest and be elected once, but if you are re-elected and become a permanent politician, you have no choice but become corrupt. Egos abound in the political arena, and eventually they all feel above the same morals and laws they preach to us regular citizens.
I was not supporting Ms. Haley for Governor simply because I do not feel she is qualified. After this last week, I am not sure if the Republican Party is offering a viable candidate, if so, it would have to be McMaster.
Here is the way I see it playing out. Haley aborts the mission and Barrett fires staff. I thought there would be a run-off, but now I am thinking McMaster will take it hands down….. Hopefully Vincent Sheheen and the Dems can win in November. We need something different in the Governor’s Office!

Time to stop all the stupidity. This all boils down to Folks has a jackass past, but he is not obligated to stay silent about the rumored affair. The fact is, it could have happened and there are many things pointing to the fact that something may have happened. But until there is proof, Nikki’s supporters should stick with her. But to sit here and proclaim everyone is lying until it is shown to be true, may and will come back to bit you all in the ass. And the ones that say just because of the way it was exposed, you will vote for her even if it is true shows the world many in this state need to have their voter registration revoked.
Support her, but keep your eyes open, until it is proven false or true. All the other BS is stupid and if it comes out that it happened, many of you will lose face causing you to tuck tail and run.
The thing to do for everyone on all side it to keep your mouth shut, stay neutral, and wait and see how it plays out. Too many on both sides are letting their mouths overload their ass and that is plain out stupid!

Sorry sir, but you are wrong and your comment is why politics are in the crapper. Granted you are right that way too often people use a trusted position to further their own agenda. But when it comes to those we are trusting to run our country or state, silence about known wrong doings is why most politicians feel they are above the law. For a person to know wrong was done, yet stay silent, they are as guilty as the one who did it. We need accountability in our elected officials and we no longer can stand for corruption to be hidden. Elected officials are not above the laws and rules the rest of the world are bound by, they are actually more accountable. And setting aside this matter till proof is given, we need many more folks who are willing to announce the corruption and lies committed by our officials. There is not and should not be a code of silence surrounding our elected people.

After 4 days of all rumor and ZERO evidence of anything improper on Haley’s part, it is now clear that WF has NO evidence to support his wild accusation. This gutless backstabbing smear was clearly timed for maximum political impact with no concern for the impact on Haley’s children.
