By FITSNews || At least one mainstream media outlet in South Carolina has acknowledged that it was working on a story about the Will Folks-Nikki Haley, confirming one of the points made earlier today in our founding editor’s dramatic statement.
The surprise admission has Sic Willie reeling from the feeling as the full brunt of a PR offensive has landed on top of his head – some say deservedly so given the silence that has followed the shocking reveal.
At the heart of Folks’ admission was the contention that “pieces of information which purportedly document a prior physical relationship between myself and Rep. Haley have begun to be leaked slowly, piece by piece, to members of the mainstream media.”

Of course the story includes a bizarre – and false – claim that our founding editor confirmed his “affair” with Haley last summer, two days after S.C. Gov. Mark Sanford’s acknowledgment of his own affair.

Is all this “stuff” being done to broker a deal with The National Enquirer? How about the Globe? I feel like FITS is now the Jerry Springer of the blogosphere. Scandal, soft porn, set-ups, he said, she said. I watched the movie The Edge of Darkness with Mel Gibson, last night, and there was a scene were a consultant for a US Senator, trying to coverup a string of murders, suggested that if you lie enough, twist the truth enough, and get enough people involved and leak out numerous versions of the incident then no one will ever figure out what really happened. That is what this sight has become. It is all things good and bad for everyone. The soup is unrecognizable. Will Folks has become the “green monkey” of his time. My prayers go out to him and his family. Surely there has to be a better way to earn a dollar.

Will Folks to maintain the credibility of his bizarre allegations, shamelessly continues to call Haley the best candidate for SC Governor. Folks has no credibility and as one newspaper rightly said that he can fine tune and manufacture his story for the highest bidder. It is impossible to believe a backstabbing blogger with a criminal record, willing to destroy an entire family, without any evidence to support his claim. Not only that, but Will only said he had an “inappropriate physical relationship”; what does that mean? For all we know, that could mean he tried to kiss Haley and she slapped him. Will never said there was a sexual relationship, but everyone is jumping to conclusions. For all we know, both Folks and Haley could be telling the truth. It is obvious this is a fake controversy intended to distract attention from the real issues in the campaign and Haley’s qualifications. There is no evidence Folks was coerced into any of his daily drip of rumor and innuendo. This is clearly politically motivated and timed to hurt Haley. Folks lied when he said he would have nothing else to say about this. The only true thing Will has said is that he has an insatiable lust for attention. This is a lame yet transparent attempt to become a celebrity no matter what the cost.

I asked my wife if this scandal will hurt Nikki’s chances in the race — that is, will women vote against Nikki because of it — and she said “No, because she has vehemently denied it.”
There you have an opinion poll of one but many of her friends think similarly.

This is really hilarious. Sic and Fitsnews are behind the whole thing from start to finish. Anything “leaked” to the media was done so by Sic or his crew. I’m siding with Haley and saying this is all bullsh!t. I think Sic started feeding this rumor ever so slightly a year or so ago. After seeing the popularity that Palin had garnered with Conservatives in the area, he knew that Nikki would be able to align herself the same way with the Tea Party. His promotion of Haley on his blog is just a cover. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s on another gubernatorial candidates payroll (of either party), but my guess would be it’s Andre because he looks really sleazy. I think this “leak” just weeks before the primary election has been in the works for quite longer than everyone is letting on. So, nice work Sic. You may not be a man of integrity but at least your blog is getting hits!

The first time I ever heard of this “mainstream” publication was in connection with the Will Folks scandal. So are they going to release this story or have you already sucked the available pageviews out of it?
The jury is out on both Folks and Haley. Haley is either innocent or a philandering liar. Folks is either a lying scumbag or a family-wrecking, opportunistic slut scumbag.
Either way I have to switch my vote from Haley to Barrett. I can’t vote for Haley since I now see the kind of people she hires and hangs with. I choose Barrett because Folks obviously hates him. That beats a Palin endorsement any day.

I would hate to have many of these carping clowns on a jury.
On the one side we have those who, for example, can’t tell supposed allegations of circumstantial evidence from strong evidence (e.g., supposed reports of her SUV at Folk’s home at night). (Though sworn or affirmed testimony of such with clear evidence it was hers would considerably rise as circumstantial evidence.) Worse, they convict on the mere existence, not the content, of telephone conversations between persons with other reasons to talk. I’m not a night-owl but I don’t have low suspicions, or worse, conclusions about those who are.
On the other side we have those who see no compelling evidence at all sans explicit photos, sworn testimony from uninvolved onlookers (there is probably nothing out of bounds in conservative politician sex: perhaps these would be donors), or DNA evidence from swabbed samples of bodily fluid.
It is small wonder the innocent are being let out of prison after decades and the “not guilty” guilty wander free to play golf.
Lynch mobs, “Give us Barabbas,” “I have in my hand” all show some traces of their foul aromas here, as do, “If the glove doesn’t fit” and a diversion to “judge the accuser, not the accused.”
It will be interesting to see how it all plays out eventually.
