By FITSNews || In case you missed it, last week S.C. Superintendent of Education Jim Rex launched a broadside against FITSNews, calling our website “racist,” “extremist” and … of all things … “Republican.”
The nerve, right?
Anyway, here’s Rex’s blast (and our response). Needless to say, we beat his ass like he stole something in the exchange, but in his ongoing quest to become “Mr. Black People (a la Jerry Maguire),” Rex has his signs up at several black-owned liquor stores in the Columbia, S.C. area.
No word yet whether he’s got them up at Cromartie’s yet …

Jim Rex is toast.
I am now waiting for Bobby (Zeke Stokes) to comment on how strong Rex’s ‘ground game’ will be in the coming election.
The Haley episode shows why a Democrat Governor should be an alternative and the debacle in our public schools show us why Jim Rex should run out of the State and NOT promoted to Governor.
Jim Rex: You do not deserve this promotion!

Like it or not, African-Americans are a large portion of the Democratic base in this state, and in a number of others. It’s silly and politically suicidal to ignore them.

In the mid term variety, the demographic Rex may be trying to mobilize has as of yet to show any real up tick in interest. He would do better to hit the Church circuit which can be demonstrated to translate into real numbers. Meanwhile Cylburn has blanketed the state with signs of various kinds as if he had any real opposition. Sheheen is the presumptive winner here anyway barring some kind of Haley-esque type event. A Sheheen/McMaster race would be a best case scenario but if Andrea’ could get re-elected last time at bat, anything is possible.
