By FITSNews || Our founding editor was introduced to Led Zeppelin around the same time that he was introduced to Kodiak (a.k.a. “The Bear That Bites You Back) and Schaefer Beer – at age eleven on a church trip.
And in each case the culprits were good Presbyterian boys from Greenville, S.C. (Benji, Mason and Scott) – who also introduced Sic Willie to the lovely Adair girls (bow chicka WOW wow).
Anyway there are any number of Zeppelin songs we could have picked, but we went with “Misty Mountain Hop” off of the band’s untitled fourth album for today. The B-side of the more widely known hit “Black Dog,” this was one of the songs Led Zeppelin performed at its 1988 and 2007 reunions.
Oh, the slogan for Schaefer Beer?
“The one to have when you’re having more than one.”
Which as it happened was Sic’s slogan when it came to the Adair girls, too …

BEST TUNEAGE AND SNIDBIT OF THE DAY FITS!!! Love love love Led Zeppelin!!! My first experience with Led….my older sister had the album (actual record people) of houses of the holy and I remember looking through the rack of records when I was 5 and coming across that cover!! I took that record out and put in on the turntable…man o man, I was hooked……my mother was not happy….older sister by 10 years teaching younger sister blasphamy (as she put it)!!! 30 years later I can listen to their albums and rock out!! One of the best rock bands of all time!!
