By FITSNews || Among the more bizarre (and yet strangely plausible) theories stemming from the attempted terrorist bombing in Times Square this weekend is the belief that the planned attack was carried out by a radical Muslim organization displeased with the portrayal of the prophet Muhammed in the cartoon South Park.
No … really. In addition to wanting to blow all of us infidels off the face of the earth, jihadists apparently don’t have much of a sense of humor about their work.
C’mon guys … “whistle while you detonate.”
Anyway, a suspect in the bombing – Faisal Shahzad – was arrested by FBI agents on board a plane bound for Dubai earlier this week. Shahzad is a U.S. citizen, but was born in Pakistan – one of many nations that is basically a breeding ground for anti-American terrorist groups.
Shahzad – who claims to have acted alone – was not on any terror watch lists prior to this weekend’s alleged attack. The U.S. District Attorney’s office in Manhattan is handling the investigation, which means that you should expect to see this story line on Law & Order perhaps as soon as next week.
Personally? We’re counting on Ice Cube to get to the bottom of this …
UPDATE: Or Ice T, Ice Man or Ice Ice Baby …

Fits, Ice-T was the one on Law and Order. Ice Cube was in the movie Friday. Ice Man was in Top Gun.
Now, don’t nobody go in the bathroom for ’bout 35, 45 minutes. Somebody open a window.

Expect the Law & Order treatment to change the guy’s name to Steve Brady, and his link will be to a radical militia group or a “Fundamental Christian” group. Perhaps the role of the nut could be offered to Robert Van Winkle.

Ever since we took the licenses away from those dammed senior citizens, they’ve been wanting to get revenge.

Sid, nice conspiracy, “Woe is Us” theory about a fictional TV show.
For the record, there have been real domestic, non-Islamic terrorists in this country who have caused considerable alarm. eric Rudolph and Tim McVeigh spring to mind.
For the record, Law & Order has had fictional stories where islamists were the bad guys.
And fictional stories where the government was bad for overreaching in how it went after the islamic bad guys.
Anybody see Glenn Beck defend the constitution without weeping over this. (That’s the real world.)

The terrorist organization is Islam. Period. It is jihad. Their “religious” book the Koran teaches them they are in a perpetual state of jihad until Islam rules the world.
By Keyes May 4, 2010 at 3:30 pm
Oh not again, McVeigh was seen meeting with an Iraqi a few times. The guy had connections to the first World Trade Center bombing. Nichols went to the Phillipines and it is believed he met with Al Aqaeda and might have helped him learn how to build the bomb.
Law and Order is notorious for trying to make Christians look bad.
Sorry, but it is Islam that is a world wide threat.

Ice Ice Baby was a rap song by a cracker called “Vanilla Ice”

It’s not a conspiracy, ONNA, it’s a perception. Lot’s of people think that L&O pushes a liberal/PC agenda. Or were you not aware of that? Kind of like lots of people think MSNBC pushes a liberal agenda, and FOX pushes a conservative agenda. Now, if you think the Free Masons or Illuminati are behind it, that would be a conspiracy.

OhNoNotAgain,
McVeigh and Rudolph acted 15 and 12 years ago, respectively. “For the record,” eco-terrorism from the left (the Unabomber and ELF “spring to mind”) is at least as prevalent as terrorist attacks by right-wingers, but we never see any handwringing on TV or in the press over fringe elements on the Left. Mayor Bloomberg actually had the nerve to speculate that the Times Square bomb was tied to opposition to Obamacare without a shred of evidence to support the allegation. The double standard is so obvious and so disconnected from any evidence on the ground that I should not have to even point it out.

Forget Ice-T, sick Mr. T on him. Hwe would not “pity that fool!”

The best friend the Muslim terrorists have are bigoted Americans like Keyes. If all of Islam is the problem, why did Bush and Cheney spend 3,000 American lives in Iraq to create a “democracy” in am Islamic country.
Forutnately there are Americans of every stripe working everyday, including 100,000′s of US troops on the ground in the Muslim world, proving to the Islamic world that the extremists in their midst are wrong when they claim all Americans think like Keyes.
These brave Americans are winning. But, their lives are in greater danger everyday because of the slurs of bigots like Keyes doing the extremists dirty work for them.
I know its been a rough few day for you Republicans, with the bomber failing to give you a new issue to pillary Obama with by succeeding in killing many Americans in Times Square.
But pretend you care a little bit abour American service members and shut your bigoted traps for a change.

madcock,
How was the Times Square bomb a bad day for Republicans? I believe it was the Left actively hoping it would be a veteran or militia member that left the bomb, and it was the Left that expressed disappointment when it turned out (as usual) to be someone with ties to Islamic extremism.
You can attack straw men all you want (no one said “all” of Islam is the problem), but the facts are the facts. The single greatest terrorist threat we face is from Islamic extremists. It is the refusal of Obama and other leftists to acknowledge and confront the enemy, rather than engaging in the wishful thinking that these are all lone wolf attacks, that puts our troops and our citizens in danger.

Law and Order liberal? Not really. More like their writers use any and every news event to craft a story. Hell, there have been episodes parodying events in sports.

Keyes-Where do you get your fanatical opinion that all of Islam is evil? Your religious intolerance seems to mirror that of your religious enemies.
Didn’t your God tell Bush to go bomb the innocent Muslims in Iraq who never did us any harm? Isn’t it frightening we have elected leaders who have invisible friends whispering to tell them to go to holy war while “Christians” like Keyes spew hatred and are itching for violence?
That is the main trouble with the world today. Christians believe there is only one God- theirs. And the Jews believe they have the only God , and the Muslims have their one and only God. And each religion has its fanatics like Keyes who are dead certain they and they alone are God’s chosen flock. Scary.
