By FITSNews || Not a day goes by that somebody doesn’t ask us who we’re voting for in the upcoming S.C. primary elections … to which we alternately respond “Pedro” or “None of the Above.”
Or advise them to move to another state …
Voting doesn’t really agree with us, people … particularly in a state like this one where the vast majority of choices on the ballot are so very, very painful just to contemplate. Nor do we buy into that whole “civic duty” argument – which presumes that there’s something patriotic about choosing the (mildly) lesser of two evils.
Some have criticized us for failing to respect the power of our vote. We disagree. We prefer to think of it as respecting the power of our vote too much to waste it on someone who doesn’t deserve it.
Anyway, with that ringing endorsement of democracy reverberating in your minds, now’s the time to skedaddle if you want to vote in next month’s Republican or Democratic primary elections. In fact, this coming Saturday (May 8) is the S.C. Election Commission’s deadline to register to vote in the June 8 primaries.
