People Still Hate Obamacare

obama health care votes

By FITSNews || Over a month after it passed the U.S. Congress and was signed into law by President Barack Obama, a majority of likely voters nationwide continue to favor a “repeal” of socialized medicine.

According to the latest Rasmussen reports poll – released Monday – 54 percent of likely voters support repealing Obamacare compared to 39 percent who oppose repeal.  Of those, 44 percent strongly support repeal, compared to 30 percent who strongly oppose it.

“Opposition remains high because of continued concerns about the impact of the plan on the quality and cost of care and on the growing federal deficit,” Rasmussen’s pollsters say.

Those numbers are virtually unchanged from late March, which is when Obama signed the controversial legislation into law.

I would like to see the poll on how many people have read the bill. Or a Cliff Notes version of the bill. I’m sure much of the opposition hasn’t even bothered to see whether it would indeed reduce costs, increase coverage or make efficiencies in the system. They would rather listen to Glenn Beck and attend tea party rallies railing against socialism while collecting their disability checks.

Idiots. And I’m not a big supporter of the bill, either. Just looking for some fair and balanced reporting…

I need to read no more than the part about being required to enter into a contract with a private company on pain of fine or prison.

South Mauldin, why would anyone actually read the bill or a synopsis of it? That would convert them from ignorant followers to informed and knowledgeable voters. Remember, we are now going to have death panels, we will not be able to keep our current insurance policies, nor will we be able to choose our own doctor (that’s what we were told)! Never mind that the OMB (non partisan) says the new requirements for medicaid (electronic records) will create savings that will actually help fund the new coverages to people not overed. It’s a shame that partisan politics has replaced working across the isle and statesmanship to achieve what is best for the country.

BTW – Christian Conservatives should know the people they worship.
Rush Limbaugh pleaded guilty to prescription fraud charges associated with doctor shopping. He previously claimed to be “the epitome of morality and virtue”.
Glenn Beck – Converted to Mormonism from Catholicism in 1999. Now thump your bible on that!

I never liked it from the beginning, why would I start now? It expands government and eliminates individual liberty… ’nuff said!

and I feel sure South Mauldin & Statesman have read it page for page before supporting it!! I’d be willing to bet half the legislators who voted for it didn’t read the whole thing.

the CBO (also non partisan) says Obamacare will actually increase our deficit! there are a million ways to spin this thing. So come back here & comment in a year, 2 years or 3 years when it’s actually taking place. And when you can’t get into your primary care physician for 8 months bc there are now 500,000 more insured people in this state. who is going to treat all these people?? and how? the resources are not there!

Or when your company drops your health insurance coverage because it’s cheaper to just pay the fine.

Or when your doctor won’t order a test he thinks you should have bc some panel of appointed (non Doctors, btw) didn’t put it on “the list”…so you don’t catch something early enough to do something about it.

honestly – I hope & pray that I’m wrong. But it doesn’t make sense.

typical democratic party – great “idea” – no real way to make it happen.

and on a side note- anyone else think Obama looks like G Dub in that pic??? with a tan?
