By FITSNews || The hits just keep on coming for embattled GOP Chairman Michael Steele, who is facing national ridicule and anger from social conservatives after two separate, sexually-charged embarrassments.
Just days ago, federal campaign documents revealed that the GOP reimbursed one of its members $2,000 for expenses incurred at a Hollywood club that featured lesbian-themed bondage. Then – on Thursday – news broke that a GOP mail piece inadvertently listed a phone sex number offering “sexy guys” the chance to talk with “real local students, housewives and working girls from all over the country” (for just $2.99 a minute).

The GOP later claimed that the phone sex snafu originated from a typo made by one of its vendors – although they are also facing criticism over the content of the mail piece, which was designed to look like a Census form.
Both are relatively minor incidents in the grand scheme of things, but try telling that to Family Research Council president Tony Perkins, who is calling on his socially conservative flock to refrain from donating to the Republican National Committee and instead contribute directly to candidates who “you know reflect your values.”
Also try telling that to the always easily-offended Sarah Palin, who abruptly decided to have her name removed from a GOP fundraiser being held next week in New Orleans.
It’s been an awful few weeks for Steele, who was already in hot water after campaign documents showed him spending lavishly on private planes, limousines and catering for expensive parties at a time when donors (understandably) want to maximize the amount of money that the party is able to use in the upcoming election.
Adding to Steele’s woes, the Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday that a number of former high-ranking GOP officials were starting a new political group, American Crossroads, with the goal of raising $52 million for Republican candidates. This organization would compete with the RNC (as well as the GOP’s House and Senate committees).

We absolutely knew Katon could have done a better job. I mean it. He is a great guy.

Katon is probably behind all of this.
