By FITSNews || In keeping with its broader assault on the free market economy, President Barack Obama’s socialized medicine plan – which is hurtling toward a critical vote in the U.S. House of Representatives on Sunday – would obligate Congress to pay $10 billion to the Internal Revenue Service over the coming decade to hire 17,000 additional tax-collecting bureaucrats.
What for, you ask?
That’s easy … they’re going to play the role of mob “enforcer,” collecting $325 from every American who doesn’t comply with a government mandate to purchase coverage by 2014.
From The Hill:
Assuming it becomes law, the Congressional Budget Office expects the IRS will need roughly $10 billion over the next 10 years and nearly 17,000 new employees to meet its new responsibilities under health reform.
Great … another way we’re shelling out billions to the government to expand its reach into our lives.
Also, bear in mind that the Congressional Budget Office is doing everything it can to low-ball the cost of this bill, so you might want to go ahead and factor that into these already obscenely-high costs …

What alternative do you recommend, Will?
Before you call for more free-market pixie dust, tell me how you would approach cases like this:

If we start buying insurance across state lines, as Sen. DeMint recommends, you can expect behavior like this to be the rule, not the exception.

This would be ok if the agents also went after Medicare fraud. But it won’t happen.

@beetrave. We will see examples of companies breaking the law then being held accountable? With a free market system a insurance company that continues to break the law will go out of business.
I really don’t see the problem with this. But a single payer will not go out of business when something like this continuously happens.

Since Obama/Pelosi/Reid will mandate that insurance companies must provide insurance to anyone & everyone regardless of pre-existing conditions, there is no need to buy the insurance until you get sick & need it. The $325 fine will be hundreds, if not thousands, less than what insurance premiums will cost. I’d rather pay the fine & keep the money in my pocket until I get sick & need the insurance.
Thank you Dear Leader! All Hail Comrade Obama!

I know of a case of tremendous Medicare fraud, ignored by McMaster, SLED, FBI and the Inspector General of HHS.
I got all the documents you want….

If ObamaPelosi Care passes -
Small business will cease to exist and the bureaucrats will rule the world. More people will be on government mandadted insurance that hard working Americans have to pay for because businesses cannot afford to follow these government regulations and will go broke or just fold up their tents and start collecting all the government hand outs themselves. You will have limited sub standard health care and will wait for elective or non emergency surgery until your number comes up. There is government mandidated insurance now – Medicade and Medicare. Who do you think pays for that. Every House member that votes Yes on this bill should be voted out of office next election and the threat Obama is throwing out that he will not campaign for them should be taken as a reason to vote No. His track record is not so great in getting Dems re-elected.
All this and we will look like the British and have bad teeth to boot!

The United States is NOT under a ‘Textbook’ Free Market, as ‘Sic’ Pilly stateed in the “Grabber,” the opening lines.
We are under an Oligarch today with five Super Size ‘Insurers.’ All of our ‘Pharmaceuticals’ a have been taken over by the italian/Americans. it’s under Mafia control. Phizer was established, built on organized crime.
And EVERY hospital in Cola Town, except for The Sisters of Charity, is under the control of super rich Mob-style Surgeons. When the “super-rich” doctors take over health care in town they are just bilking more money out of us.
Nothing is free-style, in Columbia, as smack Willie would have you believe. They’re all controlled, the hospital, pill pushers, And The ‘Insurance’ giants!
