By FITSNews || Sadly, this isn’t another Confederate flag poll … although something tells us “y’all” won’t be too disappointed.
Besides, we already asked our readers the whole “heritage versus hate” question and we got their response … or did we?
Wait … did we?
Actually, we asked our readers last fall what they thought about the Confederate flag’s current location on the South Carolina State House grounds, and after nearly 2,000 responses we think we got a pretty good sense of where y’all (dangnabbit, we did it again) are coming from.
According to our survey, forty-one percent of FITS readers (723 votes) want the flag to stay right where it is – positioned behind a Confederate soldier’s monument on the northern side of the State House grounds.
Thirty-four percent (599 votes) actually want the flag to go back on top of the State House dome.
Finally, twenty-six percent (458 votes) want it to be removed from the State House grounds altogether and placed in a museum.
What do we want to see happen to the flag?
Glad you asked …

Again … what’s the big deal?
Now … about that “heritage versus hate” thing …

I want to see the state flag on top of the dome and the confederate flag below that…The U.S. flag should be removed as it is a symbol of slavery.Dont you think that REALLY makes more sense??

LibertFor Me does have the best point. But as official government flags go, I would place the State flag at the top, the 2nd or 3rd National Flag of the CSA below it. The Noble Banner of the South, the Confederate Battle Flag, still belongs with the soldier. As it was the soldiers flag.
Involuntary African Servitude lasted 86 years under the Stars and Stripes and 4 years under the Stars and Bars (1st National Flag).

Cooter, have you ever tried taking mega doses of niacin to cure your pellagra? Your Appalachian-Low Country-Gullah-Geechee dialect is getting harder to decipher. Do you have a looking glass (mirror) on your property? Please check to see if you have black-tongue. I do give free medical advice and treatment at the Foothills Clinic on the second Thursday of every month. I can refer you to a good dentist if your chompers need working on, too. If you keep talking like this then everyone is going to think that all Southerners pick their teeth with their keys.
