Use Of Illegal Aliens Probed In Upstate School District

By FITSNews || Let’s be honest … whenever the terms “probing” and “Anderson County, S.C.” appear together in the same sentence, the end result is usually not good.

Don’t believe us?

Head on over to the picnic shelter at Darwin Wright Park (a secluded, 27-acre park on a peninsula overlooking Lake Hartwell) and find out for yourself. Oh, and tell ‘em Danny Boy sent you …

Anyway, for once it looks as though Anderson County leaders are doing some “probing” of a different (non-homoerotic) sort, although in fairness to our sophomoric sense of humor S.C. Sen. Kevin Bryant (R-Anderson) – who is doing most of the “probing” – recently told FITS that he was “very rigid.” Oh right … about government transparency, people.  He’s “very rigid” about government transparency.

Monday evening, Bryant sent a letter to Dr. Mack Burris – who is chairman of Anderson County School District 5 – requesting a review of the district’s current and future construction contracts (a.k.a. the “probe.”)  Why? Bryant and a group of local businessmen believe that the district has been hiring illegal aliens to work construction jobs in violation of a new state law – and that these contracts are hurting local construction firms.

“I have been in touch with numerous Anderson County citizens that are frustrated with the current economic climate and in particular, the continued presence of illegal aliens in Anderson County,” Bryant wrote to Burris. “It is unacceptable that the taxpayer may be funding construction projects that employ illegal aliens.”

Illegal immigration was the big issue before the S.C. General Assembly two years ago – although in one of the more ironic twists we’ve ever covered, undocumented workers were discovered working on the steps of the State House during the immigration debate.

Obviously, the new law – which went into effect on January 1 of this year – isn’t doing much.

Sources tell FITS that several “frustrated, unemployed” local construction workers will attend an Anderson County School District 5 board meeting on Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m.

Somehow Hose-A and his brother Hose-B are more in tune to the economy than the Fed, Wall Street, or the Guv. These guys may be cutting grass and building carports but they are geniuses at economic forecast. They know where the money is and when developement is about to occur. Perhaps we should study their migratory habits and use it as an economic indicator. jus sayin’.

It is not the job of state government to police the citizenship of its residents.Nor is it the responsibility of anyone offering a job.
This would not even be an issue if the socialist social justice programs were not stealing from us already. This is a very manipulated subject that is so misfocused it is ridiculous.
How about we dont give anyone wic,sec8,welfare,SSI benefits, free schooling and pay our debt down…Then maybe there would be an economy of actual merit.
We want to condemn hard working people and let the people who are commiting real victim focused crimes to go free….makes no sense

That is funny! I like the picture of the little people Hispanics! I wonder if they come with a little people tractor trailer with a false floor to get into the US with. Or little tortillas and beans to eat!

Illegal aliens are destroying this Country, and one would have to be almost blind not to see this. How much longer do we have to support these illegal aliens? How much longer do we have to school their illegal alien children? How much longer are we going to let them have our jobs? How much longer are we going to put up with all the crime, stolen identities, forged documents, fake green cards? How much longer are we going to allow these illegal aliens to send money out of this Country and bring our Country down? Oh, amnesty will correct all this. WRONG! Nothing will change except we wouldn’t be able to call them illegal aliens any more. Let’s get rid of these illegal aliens! Let’s get them back to their own Country where they belong!

I’m from Delaware, and we are pressing to get the Oklahoma State Illegal Immigration Law, HB 1804. passed here in Delaware. Three years ago we had about 32,000 illegal aliens here. Today we have about 68,000 illegal aliens here. We have had it! We want our State back!
