Obama: “We Will Get The Votes”

By FITSNews || Echoing comments made last week by U.S. Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-South Carolina), U.S. President Barack Obama said Monday that his administration will be able to muster enough votes to pass socialized medicine through the U.S. Congress via a procedural loophole typically reserved for budget negotiations.

“We will get the votes,” Obama told ABC News during a trip to Ohio to promote his plan.

In fact, House Budget Committee Chairman John Spratt – another Democrat from South Carolina – got the ball rolling on Obama’s procedural end-around on Monday when he introduced a “reconciliation resolution” which will serve as the vehicle for Obamacare’s final push.  Spratt’s resolution passed his committee by a 21-16 vote, and now heads to the House Rules Committee.

Assuming it passes the House, Spratt’s resolution would permit the U.S. Senate to bypass any Republican attempt to filibuster the legislation – meaning Obamacare could end up getting rammed through the Congress within the next two weeks.

Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wisconsin) blasted Spratt’s committee for its “extraordinary and unprecedented abuse of the budget reconciliation process.”

“Never before has the House committee process been so grossly exploited,” Ryan said.

He’s right.

Democrats lost their ability to block a GOP filibuster in January when Scott Brown was elected to the fill the term of the late U.S. Sen. Ted Kennedy, an epic upset that should have meant the end of “Obamacare.”

    I’m sure once Rhammy’s brigade of shower “nut-twisters” are let loose in Washington, these “Blue Dogs” will roll over for Obama.

    It’s absolutely revealing that the Democrats must resort to rogue and illegitimate tactics to cram communism down American’s throats.

    America will never recover, and America will lose the world’s best healthcare system.

    Fortunately for the elite rich Americans like Obama and Spratt, Costa Rica will offer subspecialty procedures at private hospitals that average, middle-class Americans now take for granted but will soon miss.

    I do not doubt they will get the votes. Obama was elected telling lies and he will die doing the same. The American public are suckers for a slick talker. Spratt’s district eats him up and he sells us older folks out daily. Obama and Congress are going to insure us for less money and add another 31 million to the rolls. This isnt fuzzy math it is an outright lies that only idiots can believe in. We older folks did not get a SS raise the past year and the year to come but Spratt and cohorts received around $5000.00 each. Not only that, our premiums are going up and Congress is going to take $500 Billion out of Medicare to start this new lock box that wont be used for 4 years. The CBO says this will only serve to weaken the system that is already failing. Maybe we all should invest in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.Spratt and Clyburn screw over the old and uneducated and laugh at us.

    Normally I would comment in length, but all you people are stupid and in need of a civic lesson. These postings prove exactly what the rest of the United States think about everyone in SC……dumb. Everyone talks about government being ran like a business but when it happens….oh no! The ability to have health care will reduce the incentive that insurance companies use to prey on the insured. Wake up people! They’ve done this crap for years and now that someone is calling them on it….your ready to defend them. Please don’t become seriously ill anytime soon, you’ll find out how much your insurance company really cares!
