Sestak: The Dems Real Scandal

sestak

By FITSNews || While the O-loving Washington press corps chases around disgraced (and now former) U.S. Rep. Eric Massa in an effort to determine which male staffers he played “grabass” with on Capitol Hill, a much bigger scandal has been comparatively under-reported …

Which one?

The scandal surrounding U.S. Rep. Joe Sestak (D-Pennsylvania), who is running for the U.S. Senate against party-switcher Arlen Specter.

Last month, Sestak was asked by a Philadelphia reporter if the administration of Barack Obama had offered him a federal job to stand down against Specter.

“Yes,” he said.

Wait … what?

“All of a sudden, somebody asked me. And, you know, I answered it honestly. I just said yes,” Sestak later told MSNBC.

Um … yeah.  While it’s perfectly legal for a President to endorse a candidate (like Obama and the Democratic establishment are endorsing Specter), it’s totally illegal for him (or any other elected official) to bribe an opponent in an effort to get them out of the race.   This alleged bribe is even more galling because it involves a taxpayer-funded position.

Now … does this sort of thing happen in Washington (and state capitals all across the country)?

Sure … all the time.  Usually, though, everybody keeps their mouths shut …

Because Sestak didn’t, Obama could be facing his first major scandal – and judging by the way the administration has been trying to bury the story, it’s obvious they’re afraid of what’s out there.

Remember this line … What did the President know, and when did he know it?

Dum-de-dum-dum …

Can I get a high paying federal job by not running for office, too?

Really, as long as Obama makes the same offer to everyone, it’s still equal treatment under the law.

Isn’t being a viable congressional or senatorial candidate the first step towards an ambassadorship?

Whether he’s shutting down voting fraud investigations of ACORN, or bribing pols with tax-payer’s monies, Obama makes Nixon look like an artless ingenue.

    This is hilarious.

First the GOP tells us the scandal is that Pelosi is forcing Massa out of office because he won’t vote for health care reform.

Then the same lying bastards announce the scandal is that the same Pelosi withheld damaging info about Massa’s misdeeds to protect him.

And now, its wait, wait, the scandal isn’t Massa, its Sestak!

Honestly, how can people like your spouses, business associates, children, etc. believe a word you people say?

Maybe Barry won’t be a one-and-done. Maybe he won’t even make it to a full one.

I thought Obama campaigned on making Washington better. I must be mistaken.

JL, you are the dumb shit. Madcock was pointing out how the GOP/FITS is trying to pin a scandal, ANY scandal, on the Democrats/Pelosi. The fact that the receipient of this ‘scandelous’ offer is a Democrat is irrelevant.

Madcock’s point is that there is no ‘there’ there. And there isn’t.
Offering a position (Ambassador, cabinet post or whatever) for a political tradeoff is commonplace. Anyone that knows anything about politics knows that much.

Also, Sestack is Specter’s opponent, not Obama’s.
