He's raised 9K to date, a third of that came from two donor couples. Thirteen total donors. With 90 days to go, that's all he's done.

That's pretty funny.

Hard work and leadership is what it takes in Columbia, district 86 hasn't had that since 2002. More power to Bill. We're all for him!

Stewart first ran for the house in '02 and has never had an opponent since, so he's never had to campaign. Taylor is forcing Stewart to tell voters what he's been doing. I live in Aiken County and I'm glad we finally have a race and a choice.

Can somebody call off the Bill Taylor spammers? Please?

Jesus Christ ... like we said, IT'S A LOCAL HOUSE RACE, meaning we wouldn't know either of these politicians from a fucking hole in the ground. Which we're proud of, because it means we're focusing on much more important things.

All we're saying is it's a douche move to go borrow 50K and then write a letter touting your 45K fund-raising advantage - a letter that includes a veiled threat to anybody who dares contribute money to the other guy.

Oh, and Maxine, by the way you have won our "How many cliches can you fit in one sentence?" prize. Congrats.

-FITS

P.S. - Looks like Stewart got a "C" on the S.C. Club for Growth report cards. That's better than most Republicans, but not good enough for our liking. Accordingly, if this Taylor guy stops going all Godfather on people and starts pledging himself to certain fiscally conservative policy positions, who knows? We might even end up endorsing his Sicilian ass.

I'm supporting Bill Taylor because we need someone who speaks for us in Columbia. We need someone who is not afraid of making tough decisions and who at the end of the day is not in the pockets of big government and lobbyists in Columbia.
