Sanford WAS your God, and by that I mean past tense. You worshiped him, served him faithfully, both during the campaign and after, and then when you got in trouble he threw you under the bus. He made public comments designed to spare himself any harm and do as much damage as he could to you. You saw then, perhaps for the first time, who he really was. You saw the same lack of character we all see now. That must have hurt deeply — what he did to you — to be betrayed by someone you had served so loyally and faithfully. He didn’t even wait to see all the facts before denouncing you publicly.

So let’s be clear about the evoloution of your thoughts about Mark Sanford. And let’s also be clear that there were many in Columbia, some of them who were what you would call RINOs, who nailed the guy from the start, who knew within minutes of meeting him that he was a fraud and a liar. There must have been clues visible to his closest circle, you, Jenny, and others, that he was missing a screw or two, because everybody else knew it. So you payed a price for your blindness, as did Jenny, as we all do at one time or the other.

And when people disagree with you or others, be careful about accusing them of performing fellatio on someone. Everyone who was around when you were his press secretary knows how you kissed “Mark” in a place much more forbidden.

1) How deep did I take Mark? Not very. Unlike Wilkins (whose horse schlong is the stuff of State House legend), the governor is hung like a squirrel.

2) Was I jealous when he went “South of America?” No. How could I have been? After all, I got my start on the beaches of Copacabana at the tender age of eleven months. Chasing Latin poontang erectile is in my blood, dude.

3) How mixed must I have felt when I saw my “God” fall? Perhaps you’re new here but this website popped Sanford repeatedly long before his scandal broke. When he was right on an issue we praised him, when he was wrong, we criticized him. Now that he’s irrelevant, we pretty much ignore him.

4) I’m not a man? I have a job, I pay my taxes and I provide for my wife and kids, whom I love dearly. What definition of a man were you thinking of?

Also, people talk trash about me every day that’s ten times worse that anything I’ve ever written about Wilkins.

The only difference is I can handle it.

David Wilkins is a man. You will never know what that is.

Based on his history, that would seem to be the more relevant question, wouldn’t it?
