Another 9/11 Flip-Flop For Obama?

obama pissed

By FITSNews || After scrapping its plan to try suspected 9/11 terrorist mastermind Khalid Shaikh Mohammed in U.S. civilian court in New York City, the administration of President Barack Obama is now on the verge of flip-flopping once again.

The White House is now considering trying Mohammed and several other enemy combatants via a military tribunal – a dramatic about-face from previous administration attempts to extend American justice to these foreign jihadists.

From CNN:

If the president accepts this recommendation, his administration would be reversing itself on two fronts, the location of the trial and the type of trial.

“We are evaluating based on New York City logistical and security concerns on trial in federal courts,” White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said Friday.

A senior administration official emphasized that no final recommendation has been given to the president, and therefore no decision regarding the 9/11 terror trial has been made.

Back in November, Obama’s Attorney General Eric Holder announced the administration’s intention to try Mohammed and four other 9/11 suspects in a U.S. District Court in New York City, but the city couldn’t afford security for the trial – and so the Obama administration backed off.

Obama will reportedly receive a formal recommendation within the next two weeks regarding where – and how – the Justice Department believes these enemy combatants should be tried.

We’ve said all along that Mohammed and his co-conspirators do not deserve access to American justice.  We’ve also said that they should be tried via a military tribunal in the ridiculously-expensive court facilities President George W. Bush had built in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

When this story broke, I opined long and thoroughly about it. How does the judge rule when the defense lawyer stands at the beginning of the trial and says,

“Your honor, no less an authority than the President of the United States considers waterboarding to be torture. The defendants were waterboarded, confessed and were never given their Miranda warnings. I move that the charges be dropped with prejudice.”

Or, how will the US system be seen as fair and honest when the President and Eric Holder have proclaimed their guilt? What about the presumption of innocence? If the trial is a show trial, doesn’t that hurt the perception of the system instead of helping?

Bush (girl that he is) got it right and Obama (girl that he is) got it wrong. Give me a gun and I will shoot KSM (slimeball that he is) myself. Now that’s justice.

And Obama . . . in all of this he shows himself to be the amateur that he is. Hell, Sanford (girl that he is) is better than Obama, and I think Sanford (wuss that he is) stinks!

Flip-flop yes, but to the correct position. Obama usually flip-flops from the dishonest centrist positions he took during the campaign to ones more in line with his his true ideological leanings, so let’s be happy that at least he’s getting this one right.

Again, the real policy of the Bush Administration remains in full force.
    Fear wins.
They’re too afraid to hold the trial in New York.

    Several observations:
    1. Obama is poorly prepared for the job of POTUS. Very poorly prepared.
    2. Due to # 1, I wonder if his admission and graduation from Harvard were just meeting the “diversity” expectations of the school.
    3. I have to assume he is a poorly trained attorney given his lack of insight on what having a trial in the US under our constitution might mean. These lunitics do not deserve the rights we cherish. Just call a spade, a spade –> GUILTY!
    4. The POTUS should resign and go home! WE are tired of your poor management and lack of skill in the office.

P.S. It must be ackward for Barry to walk into “ANY” room or “ANY” meeting and be the least credentialed. What a sad state of affairs. A poorly prepared POTUS!

This is a great example of how the Dems have no backbone at all.

The Bush administration prosecuted over 300 accused terrorists in civilian courts. If there was an example of ONE single Republican complaining during that time, I’d love to see it.

Dubya prosecuted three accused terrorists through military tribunals and two of them were set free.

Obama needs to listen to Gen. Petraeus and Gen. McChrystal who have to deal with winning the support of Muslims everyday and have opined how much the civilian trial for KSM will help them defeat the terrorists, not try to satisfy the GOP traitors who care only about defeating him and are more than happy to help out Al Queda and encourage the deaths of more Americans if it facilitates the election of more GOP candidates so they can lower the capital gains tax.

Sadly it appears he lacks the guts to do so. Pathetic.

Barry went to law school, but has he ever practiced as an attorney? I’m not 100% sure, but i don’t think so.
Can anyone tell us WHAT job he is well prepared for…MUCH LESS the daggum POTUS? for the love of all that’s holy, we are so f****ed.

Not sure if the strategy to be the us-too presidency following President Bush is such a hot idea….but whatever stamps President Obama as a one-term blunder is mission accomplished.

Agree with Mike on this one, yes he flipped, but he flipped to the appropriate side – nice to see Brother Lindsey on the “right” side as well.
