For millions of American men, that means it’s time to get serious about fantasy baseball – something our founding editor neglected to do last season (with disastrous consequences). In fact, ever since his beloved FITS Fartknockers (a.k.a. America’s Fantasy Team) suffered the greatest season-ending collapse in the history of fantasy athletics in 2007, Sic Willie has been making plenty of excuses for his team’s lack of performance on the diamond.
In 2008, he blamed his Honeymoon. In 2009, he blamed the sex scandal surrounding S.C. Gov. Mark Sanford.
What will his excuse be in 2010?
“Rule No. 76 from Wedding Crashers is going to be our motto this season,” Sic told ESPN’s Erin Andrews. “Unless of course there’s an excuse that’s just too convenient, in which case we’ll go with that.”
