By FITSNews || An annual gathering of so-called conservative politicos is taking place in Washington, D.C. this weekend. Officially called “CPAC,” we’re referring to it as the “Land of 1,000 Virgins: Old People Edition,” but whatever. The point is that every “Republican” from here to Gardenia is busily bellowing as much rhetorical hot air as their lungs can muster in anticipation of being fawned over by a bunch of loser political groupies at this right wing circle jerk.
Among this group of Blah-blahs, there are four GOP politicians in particular who we’d like to single out as being in desperate need of some sort of speech-depriving vocal malady.
Actually, there are a lot more than four of them, but Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney, Dick Cheney and Tim Pawlenty strike us as chronic arch-offenders when it comes to hackneyed GOP bloviating.
For all their big talk of fiscal conservatism, founding wisdom, lower taxes and less government, the reality is that they’re all just a bunch of opportunists (again, pay attention, Democratic readers).
Palin? She literally can’t walk five feet without finding (and whining about) something that offends her.
Romney? He was for “Obamacare” before Obama was, people.
Cheney? He was the driving force behind the most fiscally liberal Republican administration … ever.
Pawlenty? We know nothing about this guy … except that every syllable coming out of his mouth is a textbook example of political douchebaggery.
Seriously, each one of these “Republican” politicians (and hundreds of others like them) needs to drink a nice tall glass of Shut the F*ck Up …
Tell us two things (and two things only): 1) By how much will your specific fiscal plan cut taxes and spending? And 2) What is its timetable for implementation?
Then sit down and shut up, because everything else is window dressing …
UPDATE: We ran a nifty article from Andrew Davis the other day about the Tea Party movement and its proximity to the GOP. Here’s another one along those same lines from Rachel Hoff. Nice read …

Amen!
There are some real great messages coming out of CPAC this year. Your post makes it sound as if CPAC is a waste of time. I would not agree with the statement CPAC is a waste of time, but yes some of the folks invited make me want to blow chez (ie the closing speaker).
In Liberty,
Daniel

I often wonder how someone who pushed for universal healthcare can be looked at as a conservative and supported by the likes of Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh.

The GOP needs to stop talking about privatizing Social Security and tell the general public they already did it.

Senator Lindsey Graham told us that Ron Paul does not run the Republican party. Where’s Graham’s comments about CPAC today??
Arent the conservatives supposed to be the right wing of the RP? uh huh.
Proof again that Lindsey is far left in the party AT BEST and many votes are anti-liberty ones.
