By FITSNews || After embarking on the most expensive socialist adventure in American history (right after his predecessor embarked on a similar journey), U.S. President Barack Obama now wants to make people think he’s serious about fiscal responsibility.
And so on Thursday, Obama created the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform – which is supposed to reduce the rate at which the federal government is growing its record $14.3 trillion debt.
You know … sort of like Congressional Democrats were going to eliminate government waste last year.
Anyway, America’s debt has more than quadrupled over the last two decades, and more than doubled over the last six years.
It’s still growing, too, as Obama’s own budget office projects trillion dollar deficits through fiscal year 2019.
The current deficit is $1.6 trillion – on top of last year’s $1.4 trillion deficit.
Frankly, Obama’s carefully staged “bipartisan” event (former GOP Sen. Alan Simpson is participating in this PR monstrosity) disgusts us.
It’s the political equivalent of shooting somebody in the head six times and then agreeing to stick your finger in one of the bullet holes …
How magnanimous, right?

Last year Obama was going to move the nation forward with what he billed as his top priority: the economic stimulus package called the “American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan.”
And now it appears that the only thing that was ‘stimulated’ was a Federal Power Grab and more strings attached to the free marketplace.
So if this Obama creation, with another fancy name – the “National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform” works as well as his prior ‘sounds-good-but-means-trouble’ Federal nothingness, we are all in for an unprecedented rate of federal government growth for the next 7 or eight generations.
Chi Ching! Sounds like a Biblical plague of Federal locusts…swarming.

Obama is just cleaning up the mess left behind by Bush. Judge him after 4 years. No one said it would be quick, easy or pretty to bring the economy back from the brink of collapse.
Remember the last surpluses were under another Democrat that wanted Health Care too.

This is seeming to be evident of a slippery slope…. “uh, we’re gonna spend money to make sure other states aren’t spending more of the money they know DON’T have…”
You’re right Sic! This is ironic.
Now, all 50 STATES can have their spending managed by people on the NATIONAL budget.
When are we just gonna give up on State government? If Barack’s people want to “do South Carolina’s books”, would it not make sense to just give up on our state treasury dept.? That would cut some state spending right there. Thanks Barack.
Am I the only one that thinks a national department for THIS is a waste of national tax dollars?
Did we vote on this?
Cause national taxes are paying to monitor other states than your own? I can’t understand why national tax dollars are spent to babysit individual state spending. So stupid.

The commission was formed to initiate Sanfraud’s privatization of Social Security, to disintegrate Medicare and Medicaid. Once these recommendations are made, the Congress cannot really be held responsible… it was the (unelected) commission members that made the recommendation.
DISTRACTION people. Watch for it. Look for it. It is everywhere.
The commission’s intent is to continue destroying the United States of America. Do not be fooled.

We need real fiscal conservatives in Washington, not dog and pony show RINOs. I’m not sure who’s the REAL conservative candidate in SC-01, but I do know that Jeff Duncan, endorsed by the Club for Growth, is who I want watching out for me and my family’s tax dollars in SC-03.

Wasn’t the democrat’s other one-term president (jimmy carter) also left-handed??

So he raised the debt ceiling and entitlements and then states we will pay as we go from now on. What a dumb a+s.

I don’t pretend to be some conservative miracle worker for the First District. I just know Obamamania slash Pelosimaniacs need to be stopped.
Washington D.C. is a pretty tough place but, you can count on the fact that my ‘one vote’ in the Congress will be for the District that I represent. I know that every vote I would make as a Congressman ‘screws’ someone and ‘helps’ someone and costs every hardworking person and their family.
President Truman had the ‘buck stops here’ thing backwards: Every ‘buck starts with a tax-paying person’ not with the Federal Government in D.C.
The only strings attached to me are going to be from the voters – I’m used to fighting to get things done and to get things done right. I don’t pull any punches and I can take a punch and will get up before the count is over.
Get me in an elevator as the SC-01 at the capitol with Nancy Girl Pelosi and I will do more than whistle Dixie to her…

To Katherine Jenerette, whoever you are, and your very boring/trite talking points: in your dreams.
Again, geniuses, you want it all. You want the deficits to go away but you don’t want the rich folks to pay their fair share of taxes. And you want to rail against spending but seem clueless about what the Federal government actually spends money on. Plus, there’s always plenty of whining about welfare fraud but nary a word about fraud in the exponentially bigger and largest budget category of all, defense.
If you actually had something constructive to add, you’d welcome the dialogue.

BHO is using an Executive Order to create this Commission and ignoring the other legislative branch of government. I thought he was going to stop using the Constitution as toilet paper like he said Bush did.

Jenerette is a typical hypocritical Republican politician. Or maybe I should say wants to be a typical hypocritical Republican politician, since she’s run for office about a half dozen times and never won anything.
The local paper on the Grand Strand has run stories about her talented daughter who is a gifted athlete at a local public school. Wonder if she’s refused to allow her daughter to be taught by one of the more than 100 Horry County teachers whose salaries are being paid by Stimulus funds.
The stimulus contains over $150 billion in tax cuts that go to 95% of taxpayers. Wonder if she and her lawyer husband have given theirs back since she is so opposed to the stimulus.
In Horry County, GOP politicians are crowing over $10 Million dollars in stimulus funds for Interstate 73. I can find no where on her website where she favors taking that money and using it to pay down the national debt.
If you check out her website, BTW you’ll she likes to portray herself as a kinda poor man’s Sarah Palin, sexy but able to hunt and fish. But unlike Sarah who at least held down a private sector job as a sportscaster, she seems to have spent her entire life suckling at the public teat.
Despite railing about big government, I can find no evidence that she has ever had an employer other than the taxpayers, much less ever created a private sector job!
I believe she currently works for the state of South Carolina as an employee of a public college. Before that she was an aid to retiring GOP congressman Henry Brown(gotta love that Change thingy, don’t ya Katherine?) and claims to have served in the military.
So we know she gets her health care from the taxpayers as a State employee, while railing against government health care, loves the private sector while never being capable of holding a job in it, and is going to change Congress after drawing one of her many government paychecks as an aid to the incumbent.
She really is proof that GOP voters will swallow anything.
Or maybe since she always loses, she’s not!
