Duncan Endorsed By National Club For Growth

By FITSNews || The first batch of U.S. Congressional endorsements was released Wednesday by the national Club for Growth, and S.C. Rep. Jeff Duncan was one of ten candidates who made the cut.

“Jeff Duncan is the kind of pro-growth, fiscal reformer who would help change Congress the moment he is sworn into office,” a release from the Club stated. “He has an outstanding record in the South Carolina General Assembly, consistently voting to lower taxes, limit government, and expand individual liberty. And even more impressive than Jeff’s record of service is his history of leadership on issues like spending reform and school choice, even when it meant standing up for principle against his own party leaders.”

The endorsement comes a day after it was announced that S.C. Rep. Rex Rice (RINO-Easley) was receiving the support of former presidential candidate Mike Huckabee.

Hmmm … Huckabee v. the Club for Growth.  We’ll take the Club’s “stamp of approval” any day of the week, people.

Of course as  much as political insiders hyperventilate over this sort of thing, our guess is that voters will ignore endorsements and make their decision based on each candidate’s record of protecting the taxpayers – which in this case gives Duncan a huge advantage.

“Jeff Duncan believes high taxes and big government are the problem, and Rex Rice thinks they are the solution,” the Club’s release stated.

True that. Rex Rice is a Bobby Harrell-lovin’, big-gubmint RINO who didn’t decide to start protecting the taxpayers until the day he decided to run for Congress.

That’s the last thing we need in Washington, another “Bush Republican.”

Duncan? He was a fiscal conservative before it became the politically advantageous thing to do.

This endorsement means money. Jeff is struggling to raise money, it won’t be quite as hard now.

    Huckabee is a baffoon.

In the battle between Duncan and Rex, I’ll take Duncan. Huckabee’s endorsement falls on deaf ears because of Rex’s unwavering support of him in 2008 – simply a common courtesy endoresement. Jeff, on the other hand, earns his endorsements through hard work and a steadfast commitment to his core values and principals.

Duncan is sponsoring a bill to ban the sale of alcohol on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Ignoring the freedom of choice by business owners and consumers completely, enacting theocratic laws. Unreal.
