By FITSNews || Former presidential candidate and social conservative activist Mike Huckabee will visit the Palmetto State later this week to endorse S.C. Rep. Rex Rice (RINO-Easley) in the race for the S.C. Third Congressional District – an announcement that is likely to move mountains, part waters and somehow involve a dove descending from heaven.
“This is my beloved RINO, in whom I am well pleased,” Huckabee is expected to say.
Except no … not really.
In an actual statement released Tuesday, Huckabee called Rice “an authentic, consistent conservative who has the courage to stand up and fight the radicals in Congress who threaten to take our great nation down a road that leads to disaster.”
Blah blah blah blah BLAH. What about fiscal liberals like Rice who started us down that road?
The truth is that Rice is a tax-hiking, big government RINO who didn’t locate his fiscal conservative credentials until he decided to run for Congress.
Calling this guy an “authentic” fiscal conservative is like calling Huckabee a hard ass on hardened criminals.
Ooooooh … yeah … we went there.
Bottom line? Rex Rice is PRECISELY the problem with the Republican party, and we hope that he gets his Bobby Harrell-lovin’, big gubment supportin’, country bumpkin ass “waxed” in the GOP primary … Mr. Miyagi style.
Anyway, back when we thought the words that came out of politicians’ mouths could be taken at face value, we liked Mike Huckabee.
He was funny, personable, etc.
Now he’s just a marginally-effective stamp of approval for a diminishing social conservative segment of the GOP electorate … one that apparently doesn’t care about fiscal conservatism all that much.

Just your usual spin. Allegations without support. What about Rice’s role introducing Sunset Legislation and other reforms? And I am pretty sure that the Speaker and Rice have had several public disagreements. Hear he’s much closer to your friend Jeff Duncan, who I think is a competitor of Mr. Rice’s. You have a dog in that fight sic Willie?

Rice fiscal conservative rating BEFORE announcing Congressional candidacy: C
Rice fiscal conservative rating AFTER announcing Congressional candidacy: A
Game. Set. Match. Sic.
And if you have to ask whether or not we have a “dog” in the fight after reading that story, then you need to stop drinking your slurpeee so fast.
BTW we have criticized Duncan on this website, too, although from what we can tell he is the superior candidate in this race, an observation that we are making because we have obviously been paid in Trident Layers.

I think there’s a mega-church in Easley. I’m sure there will be a special love offering for Huck-a-buck.

Is it any surprise that “the Huckster” is endorsing Southern RINOs? Seriously…
Before we know it, half of the state will be stuffing $20s into the offering plate at the Big Tent RINO Revival, featuring Andre Bauer and Rev. Huckabee.

If Mike Huckabee likes him then so will I…. You see, Huckabee is my role model…. but you all go ahead and fire away at Huckabee all you like,…. won’t change my mind in the least-

Rex Rice supports eliminating the South Carolina income tax. He is the primary sponsor of H.3992, the South Carolina FairTax Act, which will raise incomes and lower unemployment. It will make South Carolina a magnet for entrepreurs and wealthy retirees.
If that makes Rex a RINO, we need more of them in our legislature!

Rex also signed the No New Taxes pledge . . . and then proceeded to vote for numerous tax increases.
Rex also voted over and over for the curiously-titled Competitive Grants Program. You know, taxpayer funded Do-Da parades and Hot Air Balloon festivals.
Rex voted for every one of the budgets that dramatically increased state spending and the scope of state government.
Rex voted for a gas tax increase, even as gas approached $3 a gallon.
Rex spent his career in the house securing C ratings from good government and taxpayer groups.
The list goes on and on. Rex is a guy who found his fiscal conservative inner child months before announcing his campaign for congress. The fact that he has Tax Hike Mike supporting his campaign is further evidence that Rex is not a fiscal conservative at heart.
One year of voting right does not a conservative make.

Who really cares about an endorsement coming from Huckabee? He’s an ass! And anybody that buys into his bullshit must have their head firmly planted up their ‘Huckabee’.
