The US Senate Poll You’ve Been Waiting For …

lindsey graham obama love

By FITSNews || On Thursday, we ran a poll asking our readers whether S.C. First Lady (and future Lifetime TV heroine) Jenny Sanford or “GOP” incumbent Lindsey Graham would makeĀ  a better U.S. Senator from the State of South Carolina.

We weren’t sure what to expect, considering how unpopular the left-leaning Graham has become in the Palmetto State and considering how Jenny’s “woman scorned” act is starting to wear a bit thin on a lot of South Carolinians (even those who detest her soon-to-be ex-husband, S.C. Gov. Mark Sanford).

Well, the results are in.

(Drumroll please) as of this writing – it’s a wash.

Jenny Sanford holds a narrow 51-49 percent lead over Graham, with just under 500 votes cast.

Obviously, we’re not fans of either politician (yes, Jenny … you’re a politician), and so we didn’t vote in the poll.

Like a lot of you, we were waiting for this poll to come out …

Who would be a better U.S. Senator?

the fact Graham got 49% from a site that constantly bashes him (site and posters) tells me he’s in no real trouble.

I think I speak for a lot of middle of the road South Carolinians when I say that Jenny Sanford’s media tour has done her no favors. I was neutral on her before this whole deal, then very sympathetic when the scandal broke, but she has exhausted my goodwill and I expect that I am not alone in feeling that way.

In her interviews she comes across as somewhere in between a very mean spirited person who is trying to cash in on the misfortune that her fool husband caused their family and a broken woman who has no one to tell her to grieve quietly right now. Also, she seems like a lost midwesterner who never really liked living in SC much less being the First Lady.

Seriously, what is she doing? Not that she shouldn’t feel vengeful based on the actions of the idiot Lov Guv, but I just don’t see the objective of her media blitz (other than money through book sales I guess.) Her children are no doubt humiliated and what will she be left with once the John Stewart, Today Show, Larry King, Good Morning America, etc caravan move on to the next story or scandal?

Sorry for the novel, but this situation is sad and it ain’t getting better any time soon I don’t think.

    Weighing in:

These are NOT scientific polls, sir.

Until the membership here is restricted, there’s nothing to keep outsiders from voting here. The fact that they both suck makes it an even more irrelevant poll.

Don’t know how scientific the poll is, but it should give Little Lindsey cause for concern. At the moment he is pulling 41% with The Trademark and Neither pulling a combined 59%

Lindsey is safe as can be. For starters he has 4 mil in the bank, and he’s the only Senator from SC that’s not a robot fortunately. I think what Weighing In suggested was correct. This site is viewed by many but most of the posters and likely voters aren’t big Graham fans, just like Sic, so for him still to get close to 50% on a site that constantly opposes him, tells me he is has no real threat, and SC is better for it.

I’m thinking about changing my name to Joe Neither and running against Little Lindsey (and The Trademark if she runs). With a little work, Joe Neither could beat both… Should I trademark that name, BTW?

Just kidding BTW. I’m too honest to be in politics.

It’s not the best news, but I think that Lindsey will win the only poll that counts!

This is ridiculous. Why is anyone even talking about Graham, his next election isn’t for 4 1/2 more years!

Maybe Charlie Condon would have an interesting lead in a poll with both…
