By FITSNews || Lindsey Vonn, America’s super smokin’ ski goddess, may not be able to compete in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
In related news, the entire NBC marketing department is about to jump off the roof of the 30 Rock building.
Vonn, who crashed during a slalom training run on February 2, has severely injured her shin, although she’s refusing to have X-rays taken so it’s unknown just how hurt she is.
“I came down and got twisted funny and went over in front of my skis,” Vonn said during an emotional press conference Wednesday. “All the force went onto my shin. It’s probably the worst place you can have an injury, because you’re constantly pushing against your boot, and there’s no way around it. You can’t pretend that it’s not there — you feel it in every turn.”
The blond bombshell – who has been relentlessly promoted by NBC in advance of the Vancouver games – is going to test her shin Thursday in the hopes she can be ready for Olympic competition, which begins four days from now.
Ironically, Vonn was hurt practicing for an event in which she is not considered a favorite to win gold.
