SC RINO Alert: John Cornyn
By FITSNews || While the RINO lovers over at The Palmetto Scoop are breathlessly promoting him (and his upcoming visit as a testing of the presidential waters), we’d like to offer a slightly different take on U.S. Senator John Cornyn, who is coming to Columbia, S.C. on February 16 to raise money for the cash-strapped SCGOP.
We think Cornyn, who fancies himself as “Big Bad John” (see video clip below), is nothing a “Bush Republican,” people.
Like U.S. Rep. Gresham Barrett, he voted in favor of the Wall Street bailout … and like U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, he has a habit of picking fights with conservative Republicans.
For example, he blasted U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint recently for endorsing former Club for Growth president Pat Toomey over then-”Republican” U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter in a Pennsylvania Senate race. He’s also already endorsed Gov. Charlie Crist (RINO – Florida) over Marco Rubio.
So yeah … if you want to spend $150 to hear some white-haired, saggy balled, spineless RINO blather on and on about how important he is, by all means … knock yourself out.
Or … you save yourself $150 and watch this …
Yeah … “made lesser states squirm?”
Hmmmm …

He’s an asshole and he’s getting an earful from constituents here in TX.

Maybe Cornyn actually cares about the Republican Party and, as Chairman of the NRSC he would actually like to see Republicans win in November. That could be why he was behind Crist (a stronger candidate in November) and Specter (the Republican incumbent of many years, at the time).
I didn’t hear too many Democrats calling Schumer a Blue Dog after Kay Hagan, Mark Pryor, Mary Landrieu, Max Baucus and Mark Warner got elected/re-elected in ‘08.

Well, the good news is,we won’t see a Little Lindsey ad telling us how “big and bad” he is.

$150 ???
It’s cheaper to read a no-haired (with bad breath) saggy brained spineless and poorly paid political pimp like sic(k) willie blather on about how impotent-tate he is now that sanfraud is toast.
Our Funding Editor is really having problems this week with her hemorrhoids which is what helped her come up with a new word to describe sic(k) wllie.

We don’t have a Socialist government. You don’t understand what Socialism is. The problem is that all of you idiots who throw that assertion around never back it up. Back up the claim that this government is Socialist. You won’t. You want everyone else to prove that it’s not Socialist. Fine, here’s your proof:
Socialism is an economic system based on state ownership of capital. That doesn’t mean that government owning shares in something for a temporary period of time qualifies. Socialism is complete government takeover; it’s nationalization. Neither this President nor the last did that. Giving the banks money that they are to repay in order to get out from under government regulations is not Socialism. Giving Detroit money is not Socialism. In Socialism, the government takes over industry without industry’s consent. You could go read about it, but you’re too busy listening to your Tea Party talking points to know what is really going on in the world.
And before you start throwing out more lies, health care reform was not Socialism. Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and other government programs aren’t Socialism, either.
“Who has the answer?” – That’s an easy one; every high schooler who has ever taken a government class, college students, people who pay attention, people who can read…and on and on…
Why don’t you use your freedom of speech to actually make an informed comment for once.

Thanks to “Bobby”
You heard it here folks….I am an idiot and you people dont have to worry about socialism.
“And before you start throwing out more lies, health care reform was not Socialism. Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and other government programs aren’t Socialism, either”
I guess unless you are talking about countries that claim to be communist. There is no such thing as socialism.
Anybody else have an opinion…or does “Bobby” know it all?
By Liberty For Me on February 9th, 2010 at 2:54 pm
Not my words…
“There are many varieties of socialism. Some socialists tolerate capitalism, as long as the government maintains the dominant influence over the economy; others insist on an abolition of private enterprise. All communists are socialists, but not all socialists are communists.”
I think the Progressives(Democrats and most Republicans) have a communist agenda…we are not there yet..
But we are defiantly socialists…

Bobby is right. This site is due a reality check. Thanks, Bobby.

T4 Is that your Rap name? The only reality is that you socialists are in denial of what you are.It is not very complicated. Not sure how you can deny what you are..It must not be something you feel proud of.

Bobby:
You’ve done the best job of explaining why, technically, “fascism” is a better name for the governmental system we’ve progressively “evolved” over the past century or so.
Economically, fascism just regulates the @%#% out of industry so that outright “state ownership” is not required. It’s actually a better deal for the government since it helps to enslave without being quite so obvious to everyone what is going on. Instead of building new organizations, you can just infiltrate and take over existing ones.
Even by your definition, however, we’re at least socialist to the degree that we own the nationalized railroad system (NOT “TEMPORARY,” by the way, Mr. Apologist) and own huge hunks of Government (nee’ “General”) Motors and other entities now.
And, lest you think you’ve won the argument on a technicality, fascism is a form of socialism as recognized by the Nazis (also known as “National Socialists”). The modus operandi is absolute control of the economy and vastly restricting the behavior of the populace in order to accomplish their goals. They do this through virtually identical means whether they have to control the means of production by ownership or by severe regulations. The arbitrary distinction you brought up was only created to give the impression of a seemingly huge difference between the fascists and the communists as they competed in early half of the twentieth century.
Read the book linked under my handle above (if you have the guts) and GET A CLUE! The businessmen in 1939 Germany were even studying Marx so they could figure out how to survive with what was going on.
The control necessary to implement socialist goals, including those of the fascist variety, involve virtually identical sorts of propaganda, social grouping, class warfare, government handouts, police-state organizations, etc. That incredibly high level of control over individual and group behavior in the market place and personal lives is also the same high level of control necessary to herd people into concentration camps and murder them.
So, look in the mirror, breath hard, strain, and screw up your face until it turns really red and scream “IDIOT!” a few times and we’ll call it even for your undue insults and obvious ignorance of the reality staring you straight in the face.

WorkingTommyC ..Thanks for having my back with that diatribe.Looks like that tool got you a little worked. These guys need to go ask more questions of the moron professors that they must have.Though it seems like a concept you should be able to understand on a elementary level
By WorkingTommyC on February 11th, 2010 at 10:29 am
No problem, LFM!
I look at it this way:
If I were the government and your car were the economy:
If I were a socialist government, I would own your car and I would be responsible for taking care of the car and all the bills and paperwork associated with it. I would do whatever I want with your car including potentially restricting any and all uses of it.
If I were a fascist government, I would let you “own” your car and YOU would take care of the car and all the bills and paperwork associated with it. I would do whatever I want with your car including potentially restricting any and all uses of it.
In such a case, does it really matter who owns the car on paper?
