“We remain intrigued by the candidacy of military mom and Tea party activist Katherine Jenerette, a so-called ‘minor’ candidate who is mounting a solid early grassroots campaign.”
That’s because she is a history professor who understands governments of Europe, American history ,African American history AND the Constitution.
That’s what we need today-educated people who aren’t career politicians like Scott.
“Republican ‘establishments’…are rallying around State Rep. Tim Scott’s as-yet-unannounced ….” We don’t need “establishment” candidates who are desired by the status quo. We need fresh faces with the education, experience, and passion to do what is needed for District 1.

Do the Jenrettes accept any government assistance such as SSI, food stamps, unemployment, public defender fees?

I’ll bet she is signed up for (gasp) government-run, health insurance through the armed forces.

Jenrette must be a real threat to the establishment. Hacks are using dirty political tricks and spreading false rumors. After reading some of that Van Jenrette stuff, It’s clear that the person who waited 30 yrs is on something and is answering herself using anonymous IP’s.
I think looking at her bio makes me believe that she is the best man for the job. I’ve heard her 3 times and she is consistant and a constitutionalist. The Tea Party folks are flocking to her. Guess those other guys are scared of a 5’7″ Girl who fights like a paratrooper. LOL (I saw that once on a bumper sticker)
Now another guy that seems to be a class act in this race is Ryan Buckhannon and then theres a guy running on the Libertarian ticket as well. Either one of the three of them would be better than those “I’m the Son of “take your pick”.

I don’t know if Jenerette is a victim or a home wrecker or an enabler for a hideous criminal. I do know that she is not qualified to represent my family in congress.

She’s very good at war. Maybe she’s very good at supporting people in incestous abuse trials, but I generally wouldn’t call pedophilia a war. And if your going to point out that people belong to all white clubs, and that they send thier daughters to all white cotillions, we should point out that your girl the ‘I failed at life so I joined the reserves and haven’t gone to combat because me children would be taken by the state’ is a monster.

Markie San has been one to maybe endorse a candidate ‘ere the primaries and maybe not. I doubt that Mr. Scott (two to beam up) is losing any sleep over not having a nod from Jenny’s pending ex, though I suspect Grumpy the lobbyist is huffing and puffing to gain that favour, besides riding daddy’s reputation.

To the disses Tim Scott lead… slow news day huh?

Tim Scott has been a huge disappointment. He sold out the reform movement to get in good with the Speaker, and he’s been rewarded. He talked a good game when he ran, but when push came to shove he caved. No way he gets my vote. He doesn’t care about serving the public at all, but only about advancing himself. Too bad. Thought he would be different.

You guys aren’t serious, right? Do you actually believe the notoriously private Mark Sanford would let anyone get close enough to overhear his dinner conversation?

Tim Scott is a great conservative. But now he’s getting knifed by the washed up political hacks who are running the Campbell and Thurmond campaigns. Here’s my advice to you guys: try a littler harder next time. Anyone with a brain can see through these “scoops.”

Despite Tim’s rough start in 2009, he’s won accolades from a wide range of conservative groups and is one of the more respected younger members in the SC House. And if he stays in the Lt. Governor’s race, I bet he beats the Bill “The Panderer” Connor too.
