SCGOP Launches New Website

By FITSNews || After months of delay, the S.C. Republican Party has finally launched its new website – a standard web 2.0 offering from the firm Under The Power Lines.

Click here to check it out.

It’s not a bad site, of course a website is only as good as the product it’s promoting, which is where SCGOP.com is going to run into real trouble.

Indeed, the first elected official featured on the new site is none other than Sen. Shane Martin, who FITS readers will recall pledged infamously to roll up his sleeves and fight against federal stimulus dollars – only to flip-flop and vote in favor of accepting them.  Not only that, after FITS exposed his sellout, Martin had the Senate Journal altered to show that he had voted against the stimulus.

Tsk, tsk, tsk …

Oh well … “saying one thing and doing another” (and then trying to cover things up) is emblematic of South Carolina Republicans, if you ask us, which is why slapping Martin front and center on their new website makes sense.

Speaking of “emblematic,” our founding editor’s graphic artists are working up a funny emblem based off of the new SCGOP site.

Stay tuned …

UPDATE: Yes, the first link in this article is a Rickroll. Sorry.
