By FITSNews || If you had told us two years ago that South Carolina’s most notorious political bad boy would be cuddled up in front of the television on a Friday night watching a movie about Julia Child, we’d have bet our lives against it.
Sic Willie?
This is the same depraved animal who went through the female talent at the S.C. State House (and in various TV media newsrooms) like a hot knife through butter, people – a guy who’s “list” required its own area code, for crying out loud.
And yet amazingly, in less than two years of marriage the “taming of Sic” is all but complete – as evidenced by his agreement to watch the dual cooking biopic Julie & Julia on Friday night.
“I liked it,” he said. “And you could really see the ingredients on the Blu Ray version.”
Needless to say, Sic’s “man posse” was displeased … nay, disgusted by this development, which probably would have remained Sic’s little secret had the lovely Mrs. Sic not posted the following missive on her Facebook page Friday night …
just watched the movie Julie & Julia with Hubby
Doh!
“U r such a pussy,” one of Sic’s best guy friends texted him within minutes of the update. “Your wife makes you watch chick flicks? Julie and Julia? Turn in your penis.”
Thinking a little estrogen exchange might delay the painful task of extricating the sand from his vagina, Sic texted one of his best girlfriends, complaining that so-and-so had demanded he “surrender his balls.”
(Misquoting, as usual).
“Sounds like you already have,” she replied.
Ouch … and Sic’s “man-visor” Steve V. hasn’t even weighed in yet (cringing).
In his defense, Sic is watching Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on Saturday night, and will be in front of the tube for both of Sunday’s NFL conference championship games.
Will that be enough to compensate? We’ll see …

Ha!!! I see a sixth place Santini finish in your future!
While you were watching chick flicks the real men were studying up on the impact of the Gary Matthews, Jr. trade.
My prediction for your Santini season? Pain.
Again.

Now understand, I would not have watched a chick flick even at gunpoint (the bullet probably being less painful) but in his defense I would like to point out that Julia was an interesting lady in an unusual way and a film might have touched on that. She was an agent in the OSS in WWII, the Office of Strategic Services which soon after became the CIA.

My grandmother said that nice women never allow their armpits to show. Now I understand why.

Watch whatever you want and enjoy it. Guys who make up lists of “acceptable” and “unacceptable” man films are usually trying to sublimate their own homosexuality ( i.e. The Todd from Scrubs).

Watched it Saturday night with my wife. Nothing wrong with watching something from her video collection. It makes her happy and often results in other pursuits, if you know what I mean.

This movie will win more Oscars than a Coppola flick, you were just cinematically enriching yourself

To Recovering Lobbyist:
You say watching chick flicks makes your wife happy and often results in other pursuits? I thought the same thing, but my wife makes me watch the triple DVD version of Jane Austin’s “Pride and Prejudice.” I can not stay awake past the second DVD. Now she wants me to learn the Edwardian Waltz. Sheesh!
She always has to go to TJ Max when ever I suggest we watch “Full Metal Jacket” together. It should work both ways, you know…
