By FITSNews || And the hits just keep on comin’ …
A despondent White House already fretting over a shocking political upset in Massachusetts received some additional bad news when Erroll Southers, President Barack Obama’s nominee to head the Transportation Security Administration, withdrew his name from consideration for this key national security position.
Southers’ nomination – made in September of last year – had been blocked by U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint (R – South Carolina) after the former FBI agent pledged to support Obama’s plan to unionize TSA employees.
“It is clear that my nomination has become a lightning rod for those who have chosen to push a political agenda at the risk of the safety and security of the American people,” Southers said in a statement accompanying his withdrawal. “This partisan climate is unacceptable and I refuse to allow myself to remain part of their dialogue.”
Wait … this guy was trying to shove a collective bargaining requirement down this bureaucracy’s throat and all of a sudden DeMint’s the guy “pushing a political agenda?”
Please.
Congressional Democrats attacked DeMint back in December over Southers’ nomination, a thrust which DeMint flat out rebuked.
Seriously, people.

How shocking. Another someone associated with Obama resigns.
I was disappointed in seeing that the Independent vote was so terribly low in Massachusetts. I don’t trust either the Dem or Repub party to do anything fit for this country.
Be it locally, statewide, or nationally the politicos are being forced to crawl from under their rocks every which way one turns.
Part of the problem, if not the crux of the issue, is that as long as Americans stay divided on the issues, there is no way anything is going to change.
I’d like to say I’m thankful for the reporters, insiders, and everyone else who puts not only their butts and reputations, but freedom as well on the line everyday exposing these folks. It’s a big house of cards but it’ll fall under enough pressure.

Thank You Senator DeMint. The last thing we need to do is unionize a bunch of Paul Blarts

Yes, thank you DeMint for sticking up for the sane. Now when will Kevin ‘Fistgate’ Jennings resign? Obamer’enem back down every time their lunatic appointees are questioned. Please, don’t stop with Southers, get Samantha Power, Fistgate and all the rest of the ‘appointees’ outta there. Isn’t there some tenured academic position for them somewhere? After all, that’s the hole most of them crawled out of.

Obama must be shocked. I mean, how can putting transportation security in the hands of a union NOT be a good idea? Who doesn’t dream fondly of planning a trip and then arriving at the airport to find out that the entire nation is under an indefinite ground stop while the TSA bosses negotiate a new tax-free Cadillac health plan. I feel for you, Barry. Us backwoods clingers just don’t get it. Maybe in the meantime you can try some even better ideas, like unionizing the military.

It was not just the union issue. He admitted to lying to investigators regarding his violation of protocols for accessing confidential databases to investigate his ex-wife’s boyfriend.

I do not understand you folks. This man only used access to FBI files to find out something about is ex-wife. Seems to me Hillary set the example he was following.
