By FITSNews || Massachusetts doesn’t matter, at least not to U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
No matter who wins a crucial special U.S. Senate election in the Bay State on Tuesday, Pelosi said Democrats will push through some version of President Barack Obama’s socialized medicine proposal.
“Let’s remove all doubt,” Pelosi told reporters in San Francisco on Monday. “We will have health care – one way or another.”
“Certainly the dynamic would change depending on what happens in Massachusetts, just the question about how we would proceed,” Pelosi added. “But it doesn’t mean we won’t have a health care bill.”
Indeed, all that House Democrats have to do in order to send a socialized medicine bill to Obama’s desk is to concur with the Senate version of Obamacare that passed in December. In fact, this appears to be their game plan in the event Republican State Senator Scott Brown pulls off a shocking upset of Democrat Martha Coakley in Massachusetts.
