By FITSNews || The State of Massachusetts – which Barack Obama won by a whopping 26 percentage points just fourteen months ago – could be on the verge of electing a Republican United States Senator for the first time in nearly four decades.
In fact, this bastion of liberalism has just been moved into the “leaning takeover” category by veteran D.C. political analyst Stu Rothenberg, reflecting his belief that Republican State Senator Scott Brown will defeat Democrat Martha Coakley in Tuesday’s special election to replace Sen. Ted Kennedy.
In fact, a poll released last week by Suffolk University showed Brown with a four-point lead over Coakley – a dramatic shift from a Boston Globe poll on January 10 that showed Coakley cruising with a fifteen-point lead.
“While special elections often come down to turnout – and they therefore are more difficult to predict than normal elections – the combination of public and private survey research and anecdotal information now strongly suggests that Republican Scott Brown will defeat Democrat Martha Coakley in (Tuesday)’s race to fill the remainder of the late-Sen. Edward Kennedy’s seat,” Rothenberg noted.
Just days ago, both Rothenberg and fellow political analyst Charlie Cook moved the race from “leaning Democrat” to the “toss-up” category.
Whatever happens, the tightness of this particular contest is a terrible omen for Democrats – who were thrashed in off-year gubernatorial elections in Virginia and New Jersey two months ago, and who face a popular revolt at the polls in November.
In an effort to stop the bleeding, President Barack Obama stumped in the Bay State with Coakley over the weekend, and is reportedly set to appear in a last-minute television ad on her behalf Monday. Democrats are spending millions in this last-ditch effort to hang onto a seat that no one expected Republicans to challenge for, which in and of itself is a huge defeat for Obama.
Seriously, people … next to Vermont, this is the most liberal state in America.
In addition to pulling off the political upset of the new millennium, if Brown wins Democrats would lose their 60-vote “super-majority” in the U.S. Senate, which could derail Obama’s socialized medicine plan as well as the rest of his agenda.

Watching Obama play the populist card in Masshole against the banks is hilarious. Who is he kidding?

With all due respect to Mr. Brown, I don’t think the man will win.
Too many dirty tricks in this campaign.
I suspect wide-spread voting fraud will be orchestrated by the SEIU/ACORN syndicate.
Coakley will win and Obama will declare another “mandate” for change –healthcare legislation will pass without a hitch.

If Brown does win, prepare yourselves for the mother of all two-minute drills from QB Obama and the rest of his team in Washington. They’ll try to get as much as they can across the goal line before Brown arrives in DC. And Barry will probably get plenty of help from the crew in Boston, who will do everything they can to make sure he gets an extra timeout or two.

Let’s face it–Brown will lose. The polls are inherently unable to predict the extent of likely Democrat voting fraud.
ED Schultz verbalized the Democrat philosophy very well–”Vote 10 times if they let you!”
Despite the fact that Mr. Schultz openly advocated criminal voting fraud, I don’t know of any Democrat who condemned his words.
Surprised, anyone?
Obama’s whole agenda rests on winning in Massachusetts.
Obama has bribed senators in Louisiana and Nebraska with hundreds of millions of dollars.
Obama’s thugs won’t hesitate to steal this election–they are probably stuffing duffle bags with ballots this very moment.
The end always justifies the means.
Just ask Ed Schultz.
He’ll tell ya!

My relatives died to secure my right to vote.
To see their sacrifice denigrated and my right to vote openly denied by someone like Ed Schultz makes my blood boil.
Scratch a Democrat and you will find a fascist.

Let’s send Barry a message tomorrow! I put my money where my mouth is and sent it to Scott Brown! Obama really put it on the line by going there to campaign. Go Scott Brown!
By wade January 18, 2010 at 10:37 pm
One by ACORN–two by SEIU!
This election is in the bag for Coakley–you can bank on that…
Since Democratic commentators are openly advocating voting, just imagine what’s going on behind locked doors…
So many old phonebooks…so little time to stuff the car trunks with ballots…
The end justifies the means…
A fraudulent Coakley victory will translate into a mandate for universal health care and the statists will be back in business!
Just ask Al Franken…

Andre Bauer can seal the Gay vote for Brown.
