"Pascal Etcheber pleads not guilty in South Carolina"

Etcheber Pascal, a French 46, remains in prison in South Carolina in a drug case.

December 21, 2009

Pascal Etcheber , the French charged in major drug case in South Carolina, pleaded not guilty Friday before a federal judge. His court-appointed lawyer requested bail.

Indicted in a drug case involving Thomas Ravenel, former treasurer of the State of South Carolina, Pascal Etcheber pleaded not guilty Friday in Columbia against the Federal Judge Joseph McCrorey. John Barton, the appointed lawyer of French 46 years, filed a motion requesting the release of his client pending his trial next March. He suggested a bond of 100 000 dollars and a house arrest for his client. A decision of the magistrate handling the case is expected this week.

Etcheber Pascal, who has a 3 year old daughter, is currently incarcerated in a prison in the town of Columbia, the capital of South Carolina. He faces charges of drug trafficking, false testimony to the FBI and attempted intimidation of a witness. He was arrested November 24 as part of the Thomas Ravenel. The former treasurer of South Carolina had been convicted in 2008 of conspiracy to distribute cocaine and was sentenced to 10 months in prison.

If French is convicted at his trial scheduled for March 2010, he faces up to 70 years in prison. "He wants out of prison, 'says John Barton about Pascal Etcheber. Before his arrest, it was part of the entourage of Thomas Ravenel and was friends with Pasquale Pellicoro, an Italian citizen charged in that case, which shook the jet set circles of Charleston, and now on the run.

Why don't they legalize all drugs, theft, prostitution, murder and violence and let the animals kill themselves off?!!! It is what they want anyway just do away with all laws and let people fend for themselves. Survival of the fittest.

Tell the feds to go home. They have no jurisdiction here.

I know this is a joke, but it is truly a sad state we are in when ANYONE would believe that it is even possible that the "FEDS" are in town investigating a common citizen for potential drug charges. What makes it so sad is that it is truly possible. We need to start sending "the Feds" back to DC where they belong and remind them that we have local law enforcement to take care of our problems. Enough with these tyrants!

Our sheriffs need to grow some and start standing up for their jurisdictions and kicking "the Feds" out. We're just encouraging their tyranny by allowing them to run rough shod over that which they do not have the authority to.

Wow, did I just take a joke and make it serious, or what? :)
