Tea Party Activist To Challenge Neal

ballot

A Lancaster County Tea Party activist and organizer has announced his intentions to run for S.C. House District 44 – a State House seat which has been held since 1999 by Democrat James M. “Jimmy” Neal.

Rob McCoy, a local businessman, will make his candidacy official at a press conference next week.

As little as we know about McCoy, we know even less about Neal – which is pretty pathetic considering he’s been in Columbia for a over a decade.

One thing we do know is that the words “Tea” and “Party” are going to get tossed out a lot over the next few months in S.C. politics …

McCoy is a really solid guy. Conservative to the core. Good business background. Seems to be getting into the ring for all the right reasons.

Think a younger Gary Simrill (but with better hair).

Rob McCoy is a terrible business man. My family and I drove an hour today to go to McCoy Motors in Lancaster to look at his trucks. Because we tried to break down his price he got upset and demanded we leave as he cursed us to the core along with his assistant Ray who called me B%%%% several times. All this in front of my three small children ranging from 7 to 2. He cursed us out for almost nothing. Rob McCoy is not suitable for any office. Not with that nasty attitute. If he doesn’t care about profanity in front of children how can he really say he cares about their well being or their education? Bunch of bull!!!
I didn’t know he was running for office when I was there but I can’t explain the degree of shock when I found out. It’s unbelievable. I can’t believe that heartless man we encountered today is actually pretending to care about Lancaster. Be aware of him.
