The “Los Oakland” Raiders won’t be making the playoffs this year for the seventh consecutive season, although their thrilling 20-19 win over the Denver Broncos equals their highest win total in a season (five) since 2002 – the year they lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl XXXVII.
A big play in the game was the tremendous defensive stop made by former Mississippi State standout Tommy Kelly on former Georgia star Knowshon Moreno when it looked like Denver was going to put the game out of reach late in the fourth quarter.
Of course, that’s not the reason the play has been watched some eleventy kabillion times on YouTube (no doubt mostly by bored, white housewives).
