How’s That Global Warming Looking Now?
How fitting …
Having agreed on Friday to force U.S. taxpayers to pay untold billions of dollars in new global warming costs, U.S President Barack Obama returned to Washington, D.C. from Copenhagen on Saturday to find the nation’s capital being buried beneath a record blizzard.
Two days before the official start of winter, no less …
The massive storm dumped a record amount of snow on Washington, D.C. (16.4 inches) and blanketed a dozen states, causing irksome travel delays and putting a deep freeze on what is usually the busiest shopping day of the holiday season.
Aside from the financial impact of the “Blizzard of ‘09,” the storm certainly put a visual exclamation point on a disastrous year for the global warming crowd.
Not only did the fuzzy science of their movement get dealt a stunning reversal, but the Copenhagen conference ended in an unmitigated disaster, too.
Now this …
Oh, winter officially begins on Monday (today) …

It’s not called “lack of global snowing” … the fact that precipitation and falling temperatures collided over the east coast doesn’t prove anything other than there are a bunch of idiots who think if you’re not wearing shorts in Boston in December then climate change is a myth. The term ‘global warming’ refers to the ‘globe’ ‘warming’ and as much as we like to think of our country as the center of that world, it’s actually a small percentage of it geographically. The fact that it was 68 degrees in Charleston last week didn’t prove anything either.

Jed-
Funny … the current temp argument works for people on the other side of this debate.

Global warming in not a few days of cold. It is the upward trend over the last few decades of the overall worldwide average temperature. The problem is also the speed that the temperature has been rising.

Global Warming Is not caused by humans, many scientist are speaking out, Google Climategate emails. Do the elitest relize that the revolutionary war was started over a 3% tax? Currently citizens pay 60% of their income in tax’s one form or another. When is enough enough?

The most amazing piece of the global warming con has been the lack of mainstream media coverage.
Have you heard about the guy who runs the con via the “climate change” leadership post at the UN? I didn’t think so.
He isn’t even a scientist. But he is making money fanning the fear of global warming while making millions putting together carbon trading scams.

God’s got a great sense of humor!
These Global Warming Religionists remind me of the emperor who wore no clothes–Al Gore and Company continue to make millions just like the “tailors” who spun such magical cloth that only the “wise” could discern…

Weird weather patterns are to be expected with global warming. Regardless, my Turks Cap and Lantana are both still blooming in late Dec for the first time in memory.

Go back to school. A snowstorm doesn’t disprove scientific fact.

“Go back to school. A snowstorm doesn’t disprove scientific fact.”
In the good ol boy state of South Carolina it does.

It is advised that FITSNews change to Dipsh** News. From continents and countries Antartica, Africa, Greenland, many South Pacific Islands, Brazil, Bangladesh, and many, many more places global warming is looking pretty bad. America is not the only country of the world or universe for that matter, but apparently has some of the dumbest people.

With just a little more data adjustment, the warming trend will continue to accelerate. Darwin Australia went from cooling to warming with just a few strokes of the keyboard. Can someone explain why those stupid Norse were farming in the Greenland ice and permafrost? Someone will claim that it was warm enough to farm 1,000 years ago. However, since this is the warmest period of all time, that can’t be possible.
Faith in Global Warming trancends the need for facts. Heed the sign of the Hockey Stick or perish.

Most of the heaviest snows, like this one, happen right around 32 degrees; i.e., it can be “too cold to snow”. This snowstorm was not a very cold storm. Moreover, its occurrence seems well explained by random chance. We’re not having a very cold winter; at least the first freeze was very very late this year.
Are winters, summers, and other naturally occurring natural variations henceforth cancelled by decree of FITS News?

Nothing is proven you tools. If we had a warming stage so what??…A world government is going to save us??.Maybe they should try dispening flu vaccine correctly before they take on controlling the climate.
Its all about money and control period…..That is what has been proven ,if anything

“Go back to school. A snowstorm doesn’t disprove scientific fact.”
No it doesn’t… but the shit in the emails certainly does.

How can one say we are “not having a very cold winter” when it just started?
By John on December 22nd, 2009 at 2:48 am
I can’t believe how the warmists don’t see the scam that’s being perpetrated on us using cape and trade bill to tax us up the wazu in the name of global warming scam. The scam involved big corporations, Gore and Obama who is the originators of the Chicago Climate Exchange.
And how they don’t see that Cop 15 wasn’t about the climate, it’s all about the cap and trade scam. Everyone including Dr. Pachauri who pushing for a binding agreement or we all are going to die due to earth temperature.
Please help stop this scam.

I burn tires in my peach fields at night to keep the buds safe. Is that bad for global warming? What about changing the oil near the creek is that okay? The oil is gone i cant see it once it hits the creek!

Winter is January 21, the coldest day of the year on average, plus/minus 46 days…approximately Dec, Jan, and Feb. You’re forgetting your basic calendar facts. Our seasonal definitions do not coincide with temperatures and all winter storms do not occur within Dec 21-March 21. The world just doesn’t work that way. To date, it has been a warm winter, with a very late first freeze.

Your denial of global warming is laughable. Perhaps it’s not escalating at the rate the cynics claim, but it IS escalating nonetheless.
By sid on December 29th, 2009 at 3:06 am
No, Sarah, it’s winter, which was what I had already said. My point is that it has just started, so you cannot possibly say we are “not having a very cold winter” at this stage. Not with any sense of accuracy, that is.
By Sarah on December 29th, 2009 at 3:53 pm
News Flash Two, Winter is almost 1/3 over now.

We don’t know what planet you’re from, but here on Earth, Winter starts on December 21.

FITS -
You are forgetting about Australia and the antipodal Southern Hemisphere. Tis’ definitely not winter there now.
More locally, when the national weather service calulates a winter temperature for a station in our region, it will average all daily temps during December, January, and February. They obviously don’t agree with your Julian calendar definition.
Sarah says and she is right.
By sid on January 6th, 2010 at 11:30 am
How’s that “not having a very cold winter” thing working out for you, Sarah? We’re looking at possibly the coldest Winter in 25 years, but I guess some folks are kept warm by a raging inferno of delusion. Oh, and winter starts, here in our hemisphere, on December 21. Where I live, December temperatures were below normal for the month, so even taking into account an apparently mistaken concept that winter starts on December 1, it’s been colder, so we are having a very cold winter.
