We’re not sure why exactly, but actress Brittany Murphy has always done it for us … or at least she always “did” it for us.

The 32-year-old star of Just Married, Clueless and 8 Mile died early Sunday after going into “full cardiac arrest.”

According to TMZ.com, Murphy was discovered by her mother, Sharon Murphy, at a Los Angeles home that’s owned by her husband, Simon Monjack.  Paramedics were unable to revive her en route to Cedars Sinai hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival at 10:04 a.m.

Police will be investigating her death.

A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Murphy’s career had struggled of late.

A year ago, she was booted from Disney’s animated movie Tinker Bell, while this year she was fired from the movie The Caller after reportedly being “problematic” on the set.

Still, she has always been one of our founding editor’s favorites …

Damn, she was hot. It is sad.

Not really all that sad. Guarantee it will be drug related. Just like Heath Ledger, and countless others that have poisoned themselves. No sympathy for stupidity. There are actual tragedies out there.
