Pay Attention, SC RINOs

S.C. House Speaker Bobby Harrell might want to think twice before dumping any additional tax dollars into “Ineptovista,” a botched $150 million government-run economic development project.

Similarly, S.C. Senate President Glenn McConnell might want to pause before funneling any more tax dollars to his beloved Confederate submarine (and phallic obsession), the H.L. Hunley.

Sen. Hugh Leatherman? He might as well just stop … everything.

In fact, every member of South Carolina’s “Republican-led” General Assembly would be wise to take note of some new poll numbers released Tuesday by Rasmussen Reports.

From the survey:

Fifty-one percent (51%) of Republican voters in South Carolina say the GOP should be more like DeMint, who’s a staunch conservative, than like Graham, according to a new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in the state.

Thirty-two percent (32%) of the state’s Republican voters think the party should model itself more after Graham, and 18% are not sure which one is the best role model.

Among all voters in the state, 38% say Republicans should be more like DeMint, while 32% say they should be like Graham. Thirty percent (30%) aren’t sure.

Sixty-five percent (65%) of South Carolina Republicans have a favorable view of Graham, but 85% feel that way about DeMint. Republicans are nearly twice as likely to have a very favorable view of DeMint compared to his fellow GOP senator – 57% to 30%.

Perhaps more tellingly, 18% of GOP voters have a very unfavorable view of Graham, while just three percent (3%) say the same of DeMint.

Looks like it might finally be time to put SC RINOs on the endangered species list … along with all the big government bureaucrats, lobbyists and left-leaning mainstream media outlets that have been providing them political cover all these years.

Interestingly enough, we did a poll on DeMint and Graham recently, and 56% of FITS readers said that DeMint best represented their views compared to 44% for Graham.

Anyway, who are the RINO’s in the S.C. General Assembly? Glad you asked … we’ll have an updated list for you momentarily.

Oh, and to everybody whose name winds up on that list, “Boudreaux’s coming for ya …”

Electorally-speaking, that is …

As I have said…people are slowly waking up and are going to rebel harder and harder…
The only people in the poll voting for Graham are people who have stock in windmill technology…Or K-Y jelly

If Demint is what people want, we should all be scared as hell. Here’s a guy who couldn’t successfully run a PR firm, so he ran for Congress and never looked back. Talk about a career hack…

You have accused so many people of being a RINO you have rendered the word meaningless.

According to you, approximately 7 elected officials in South Carolina are Republicans, the rest are RINO’s.

Seriously, you are a tea bagging parody.

Graham and Demint are both C Street.
Get C Street out of South Carolina.
